Yep. This perfectly sums up my solo experiences in DayZ. I started out playing DayZ on a low end PC years ago, back in the .42 days. Stopped for a couple years. Then I heard it was coming to console, and played it on PS4 for a bit. Now, I play on XBox Series S and its the smoothest gameplay I've experienced to date. But, I am still solo. I played with a Twitch streamer when I was on PC who had subscriber events. Those were serious fun. But, yea, this video is how my solo experience is today. Some days I'm super friendly, try to team up with others I come across. But, when I get KOS'd a lot, I switch into "chase everyone down and kill 'em" mode. I still have "gear fear" at times when I am super geared and become afraid to lose my gear. But, lately, I just throw caution to the wind, listen for gunfire and run towards it. Anyway, thanks for the video. I related to every minute of it. In the end, I still love DayZ. There is no other game like it.

@@bwad99 Honestly I just bought Livonia and I noticed that the attitudes of people are so much different than OG chernarus! People seem way more aggressive and shifty. I wonder if it’s like the natural curve of progression for some people that have played a long time you know? Like they got bored of going after loot and now they’re playing the psychological game and betrayal angle 😂 Anyway, I look forward to more of your content man if I ever get the PC version (Xbox atm) or they set up cross play I’ll keep an eye out for ya since I always try to interact with people that don’t have guns in their hand

"Solo DayZ is brutal", Are you talkin to me? My very FIRST spawn into the game, dark as shit, by a lighthouse and a barn. Go into crouch, scan all around, move closer to the barn. Start hearing the FLIES, didn't know what it meant at the time. Open the door and there's THREE "survivors" laying there. Being a noob I just...ran, didn't check the bodies just ran, welcome to DayZ. Another, server goes down, loads me into another one, out in the middle of nowhere, dark, again annnnddd it's raining. Picked a direction and ran, had a sledge on me, stopped to mine a rock for a stone knife....NEVER heard the shot. Brutal? Are you talking to me? lol

Do you play official or community??, I struggle to find a good server, I find official extremely hard with hardly any loot spawning, but some community you will see guns & ammo everywhere & it becomes too easy.

@@ryanwheeler2368 it's funny you mentioned that server "England" because I tried quite a few different ones last night & once I was on the England one, it was definitely the closest to what I was looking for. For a long time I played on the "Blackout" eu server but I found it to be less survival & more pvp, but what put me off the most was the things in the distance appearing & disappearing which although is a small thing it ruined the immersion & the fact every zombie drops food, it wasn't really a challenge, & tbh it was a bit laggy & I found the England server to be completely fine. Were there any others beside England that you liked aswell, especially ones that are similar?, its good to have a backup. Thanks for replying.

hey just wanted to tell you that your video made me think of going back to dayz i started playing it maybe about 2 years ago i watched streams of dayz on twitch a long time ago and i've always dreamed of having a pc that could run the game after maybe 7 years of watching bibix ( a famous dayz french streamer ) play it i decided that i would do everything in my hand to get a pc that could run it i worked for the money to get it and when i started to play it maaan oh maan i could still remember it like if it was yesterday , from my first time dying wich its was like after 5 minutes of starting to play it lol to absolute madness eating human meat , taking hostages , events , raiding i mean in 2000h of playing i did ( i think ) most of the things that you could do in dayz i spent more time reading topics and watching tutorials than playing wich gave me the knowledge of a 5000h player i played with clans that are basically dayz veterans but of all the things i did i never did one thing wich is make a friend like you did in the beginning of videos . it just didnt happen i tried so hard and ended up either getting backstabbed or losing them in the woods so eventually i just stopped trying to , when i reached 2000h( at update 1.14 or 1.15 i think ) i just didnt find the fun in the game anymore i mean i had loot i would even say that i had the best base on the server i was playing on i had the skills ( because i grinded those deathmatch skills hard af lol ) but i didnt have a friend it was a big shock to me considering i loved dayz more than anything on this world but today when i watched your video it made me remember some moments in dayz one of them was when i used to play at night like 3 pm to 7pm and those pvp moments also ( dont take it wrong i dont mean to insult you lol ) but some of the moves you made i would've done better in my opinion so i was imagining and remembering those cool kills i used to make , how everybody in my team used to be happy when i recovered their loot and so many memories i think you just made me wanna play it again but this time im dedicating my gameplay to interaction rather than pvp i'll try my best to not kill friendly people and try to trust guys hoping that i get to experience those moments you had with dear chris , you're so lucky to have encounters like those treasure them because 1h of that was better than all the hours i waisted on looting building stashing and killing the players . good luck billy ²Fl4v

There's much more to dayz than pvp, base building and loot-- which is what I wanted to show in this video. 3 different interactions and 3 different results. This day of adventures was one of my most unique set of interactions and makes the game so worth playing imo. Maybe finding new goals and playing different style servers will help rekindle your appreciation for dayz.

@@bwad99 so true thats what made me love dayz just running around at night for base building stuff like nails hatchets etc and not knowing if i was gonna comeback or not or if im not coming back to a raided base haha it just felt like a real life simulation kind of a secondary life, this game is so underrated and i feel that its getting worse with new players coming to it since most of them play it in the " loot and kill " type of gameplay rather than your type of gameplay

It takes a lot of time and patience to get to that point with interactions. Sometimes it goes well. Sometimes you get a bullet to the back of the head. But all in all it's part of the game and something I've learned to love and respect about it.
