Watching you use trapping wire reminded me of growing up on a farm in the 1960's. We used bailing wire to fix almost everything. It was the duct tape / para cord of the era. "fence pliers" could cut, streatch, twist, and hammer. It would do anything needed with fence staples also.

Some videos I hate the constant commentary BUT your videos work well with the informative comments and talking. Not a criticism but what harm do the Redwing Blackbirds do? There are a lot of second-rate, fake, and half-baked "bushcraft" videos on KZbin, but this is not one of them. What a great video! It was a pleasure to watch. Question: I noticed you discarded the beaver tail. I might be mistaken, but I thought I read somewhere how the early fur trappers and mountain men considered the beaver's tail to be a culinary delicacy. Was that just a sense of taste particular to the frontier of the early 19th century, or are beaver tails really not good to eat?
