My dog also passed away from this dreadfull disease. It was so sad seeing him not being able to walk with his hind legs, the last time I saw his wag his tail was when I picked him up so he can try walking. He cried non stop all day and night asking for human help because he couldn't walk to pee or poo. Few days later his body was also paralysed. We fed him crunched down food. And one month mark, he couldn't move his entire head, leaving him only being able to move his tongue. His screaming stopped after this mark because he probably didn't have any more strength, we fed him through syringe. One day I fed him water, so I tried feeding him barely solid food. No reaction, couldn't even open his mouth. The day of his death, I drank tea, went out to get some vitamin D, came back to him and saw him not breathing. I was devastated

Thanks for sharing this... We're battling this disease with our dear Midnight for a month now. I'm crying whenever I see her struggling in breathing, standing up and with all those involuntary muscle movements. I can't bear to watch her like that but we have to be with her and comfort her especially when she's having seizures. I almost gave up at first thinking that she's already old (she's 10 years old). But, I can feel that she's fighting for her life. She's eating a lot of chicken. She's drinking meds regularly than before. I found hope. We're still far from her recovery but we're not giving up. Edit: In case anyone reads this, my doggie passed away a few days after I wrote this comment. From all the research I've made about Distemper, I think that if your dog is under a year old or over 6 years old, their battle with Distemper is exponentially more difficult, even more if they don't have the required vaccines, so I would suggest to put them to sleep if you don't want to see them suffer, I struggled a lot with my dog and it was very difficult seeing him suffer while I couldn't do much to help him, the last days were VERY difficult, and the last moments I completely broke down, it was really hard seeing him not make it. So, if you don't want to see your doggie suffer, is better to put them to sleep if the prognostic isn't so good. My 7 year old Chihuahua is in the last stage of distemper, he has short seizures, constant muscle twitching and he can't stand, it's been 19 days since he came down with this disease, and although it is painful to see him struggle with the symptoms, I'm trying my best to help him recover. His appetite came back and is eating well with a syringe (w/o needle), I also have to give him water through a syringe since he struggles to keep his head up and steady. The treatment is also just to treat the seizures and secondary infections (he developed an eye infection and pneumonia, since it's really cold where I live right now -is the worst, tbh). When it's not raining and the Sun feels warm, I take him out to the Sun too, but it's been raining a lot lately so I just keep him inside on bed since he's used to sleeping on the bed. I also stay with him most of the day, hoping for a faster recovery, but I think this will take some time more... Anyways, I really hope he makes it out and recovers, I really love him and the house will feel empty without him, but I'm hoping for the best, we're both trying really hard, so wish us luck if you're reading this. I also hope for you and your doggie to recover and if they're not sick, make sure to give them annually vaccines against distemper, parvo and respiratory diseases, keep them well fed and hydrated, love them lots and play a lot with them

@@blackbutterfly2000 It is hard, very hard, but if your dog is not in the nervous stage yet (convulsions and body twitching) you can still have hope that your dog will recover with proper medical attention, anticonvulsants help a lot, so if you have access to them, do give them to your dog and do everything the veterinarian says. I hope your dog recovers, many good wishes

Thank you for posting this. My puppy Stilgar (German Shepherd mix) was diagnosed with distemper last March, when he was just 14 weeks old. We were not able to get all of the same products and treatments you used for Santi, but your video helped so much. I ordered Immunol from another country (I live in America) because it seemed to have helped Santi's immune system. We gave our puppy B vitamin complex as well. My puppy just turned one year old last month and he survived distemper! He has permanent twitching of all the muscles in his body, because the distemper damaged his brain badly, but he is happy and loves to be alive. Thank you so much again. Your video absolutely helped my dog survive, because I did not know what to do or where to start. In America, most veterinarians don't really have any hope for distemper, so they can't suggest supplements or treatments to try.

My puppy was sick when I adopted her from the animal shelter. She was skin and bones, had trouble walking, vomiting and diarrhea...the next day she was very sick with all the symptoms, especially weakness, headache and fever. My vet was no help, so I took her home. First I crushed one Tylenol, mixed it with cooling/numbing gel (for burns) onto her head. I did that about four times a day, or more often when her fever was high and her headache was really bad. Four times a day I rubbed Ivermectin all over her tummy, under her arms, her inner thighs...wherever I could find skin. I gently rubbed it in with some more cool water and cooling gel...four times a day of Ivermectin. She needed deworming, so I gave her Fenbendazole. By the fifth day she was feeling much better, but she seemed to still have a slight fever. The sixth day I gave her Moxidectin. I mixed it with some raw egg and little cubes of cheese. She ate it three times in 24 hours, plus Ivermectin rubbed into her belly...the raw eggs, some ricotta cheese mixed into the raw eggs....and she was completely well by the 10th day. She gained about two pounds, she was running and playing with the other pups. I took her back to the animal shelter because she was so rambunctious...if I'd kept her with me she would have continued the same medicine and food for one more week. And I would have restricted the time she spent running and playing. She had a complete recovery and when my other two pups got sick. I recognized the symptoms much sooner, started the Ivermectin right away, the Tylenol and cooling gel right away, but I had to make a paste of the Doxycycline with water and rub that into their tummies. They healed quickly and didn't get as sick as the first pup did. I hope that you can get these medications and keep them on hand to treat your pups as soon as the sneezing begins.... that's when you start the Ivermectin, and Tylenol and cooling gel for the fever is headache. Then, nothing to eat but raw scrambled eggs with the trypsin and trypsinogin mixed in (proteolytic enzymes). I added in ricotta cheese as soon as she wanted more food. Some dogs respond better on Moxidectin, but others don't. It's worth trying one dose of Moxidectin as soon as the pup is stable.... If one dose of Moxidectin seem to make her worse, then stop using it and continue the Ivermectin without it... Ivermectin 4x a day...Tylenol, cooling and numbing gel for her forehead and tummy if necessary, four times a day as needed for the fever and migraines, plus Doxycycline, preferably orally. I hope my experience will help you nurse your own pups back to good health. God Bless you 💝🙏❤ if you have any questions, I'll check this board for questions.

Was she diagnosed and positive with Canine Distemper? It seems she didn't lose much of her appetite and that was a good sign. Most dogs with distemper would just stop eating (and drinking), get seizures and it's downhill from there.

Yes, she was diagnosed with canine distemper. I believe the Tylenol and numbing gel rubbed on her head and tummy made a terrific improvement in her apppetite...plus the Doxycycline is powerful and the Ivermectin and or Moxidectin...those are all very very powerful and effective medications. If you can get Ivermectin down her throat, that is tremendous antinausea medicine. It's also antiviral, and antiparasitic...get some for your pups and start using it as soon as she sneezes and has goop coming out of her nose... Doxycycline can cause nausea, so spreading it on her tummy with water is effective, too 🙏💖 🙏Good luck 🙏🙏🙏

OMG I was looking for videos of canine distemper survivors and saw this. We had almost the same experience! Our dog, Kenji, had “dog dengue” and distemper at the same time. It took long almost two months of proper caring and medicine before he fully recovered. 😭 And funny thing with the video is our dog was also sleeping at the end of the stairs when he wasn’t feeling well. He also had the same issue where he looks like he’s “drunk walking”. He’s very healthy and active now, although the muscle twitching near his nose and mouth never left. We are so lucky our fur babies survived. 💖

Thsnk you. Today I took a stray dog to the vet because she didn't have her usual appetite and had been hit by a car/scooter. Vet said she has distemper and less than 20% of distemper dogs survive. Wow! This is very inspirational! I wish I also have a family like yours. I have 10 dogs. My 2 dogs showed signs before Yuki tested positive for distemper. They also have ehrlichia. I think my 2 dogs who showed mild signs of distemper (no neuro symptoms) are also both positive. My other 7 dogs might be immune or not showing symptoms. But they are my family. I won’t take risk. We are already giving them Canglob D shots. All 10 of them. Today is their 2nd shot.

Hello! Ang ganda po ng motivational story po ni santi in battling distemper. Ung aso ko po si tabie, nadiagnose po sya ng distemper ngayon. 8th day na nya ng home treatment and naregain na niya po ung appetite niya ngayon kumakain na sya ng dogfood and boiled chicken na di finifeed. We're battling CD with our 2year old Chowsky right now. We have almost the same meds as prescribed by our vet they only differ in name. I am thinking of switching on the same brands you use but I fear my finances wouldn't be able to cope. We're at our 5th day. The vet said he's only at the very beggining phase of the CDV therefore the only symptoms he has now is minimal nasal/eye discharge and loss of appetite. He's been very lethargic recently and only moves when he needs to. This gives me hope so thank you for sharing this wonderful story. I pray all furbabies who has CD gets better soon. I know this is late but congratulations po for your dog. He's a brave one. It's a shame na late ko nang napanood to, my dog yuan passed away earlier lang and dinala na namin siya sa place kung san siya iccremate. Hi po, currently my 2 dogs tested positive for distemper. I hope they heal and survive just like your Santi. They have respiratory symptoms and I’m hoping for the best, praying, and following the medications prescribed by the vet and we’re trying home remedies din po since we cannot afford Canglob D. My 2 pups are going through this now. We are doing same as you with healthy diet, sun, live, liquids,eggs, protein, vitamins, and immune support. All hand made food lots of chicken.protein!! They are stable now for about a week. Vitamins also help like you said. They are also getting a serum shot tommorrow. We will see we are praying and doing everything we can like you. I am staying home from work as a stay at home dad with my 2 pups. 24 hour care and love. Thankyou so much for Hope. We really needed this. Thankyou and God bless you. @@PracticalGardening i am deeply hertbroken. after trying everything diets, vitamnins, herbal teas, nedicine, waking every 3 hours to help, after a month of this, sadly my female pup awoke with foaming uncontrollably at the nmouth followed by uncontrollable siezures....She never showed any signs other that nose, a slight cough....Distemper hides in the skin and nuero system til its ready to strike...We laid her to rest...then the folwing day last tuesday he did the same thing.....tremors, ear stood staright up...he was not himself, so we had to let him to sleep restfully also. We are so so heartbroken and destroyed. Our last pup died of prostate cancer and so we waited til we felt healed....4 years ago then 1 month ago we got these 2 little pups from a rescue and this happens. Please pray for them and us as we are competely devastated.

Meron din nitong virus na ito ang furbaby namin. Napuputat kami, parang nagaalaga ka ng taong may sakit. Mahirap pero TLC lang at meds. Food, water & meds sinusubo namin gamit kamay namin. Ayaw kasi namin ma-stress sya. We're hoping & praying na gagaling sya.

First time ko po masaksihan ang canine distemper at epekto nito. Hindi man po makakatulong itong comment ko sa current situation ng alaga nyo pero hayaan nyo na lang po sana akong ilabas yung nararamdaman ko sa ngayon. Dahil po sa pag upload ng video na 'to at sa mga helpful comments ng mga tao dito sa comment section, marami po akong natutunan. Hindi man po ito makakatulong ngayon sa sakit ng aso naming si 'Bo', pero magagamit ko po ito sa pag aalaga sa maiiwan ni Bo na si Delta(mother nya). At ganun na rin sa mga future pets pa, kung may ibibigay pa po sa amin ang Panginoon Dios. Mag-ingat po tayong lahat. Give love always. Ipakita po natin ang pagmamahal sa mga alaga natin lalo na sa mga tao sa ating paligid. That way, mapait man ang magpaalam sa kanila, pero ginawa mo naman na ang best mo sa limited time na ibinigay ng Dios sa inyo.

Maan, just be realistic, do what you can do hang in there. The prognosis is only 20% survival rate among puppies because theyre immune system is no there yet and the discease attacks within that time. Our pups if you read above,,,lasted only 1 month excatly. we did absolutely everything we could...and way above what anyone else would do...I devioted my life to these 2 pups for a month...same for my wife...but they were doomed from even before we got them and they seemed totally normal. the dicease hides itself well, then when it wants to and out of no where...shows up and destroys....Praying for your dog and I hope they are not a pup and have some immunity. We even gave ours a serum that is suppose to cure CD dogs 60% of the time...but you have to administer before the nuerological signs start...such as tremors and twitches.....Which is the final stage...Very sad and heartbroke...only been a few days since we had to let them sleep....so so sad and destroyed...Blessings to you and your pup.

He is taking medicine for lung infection..Now my dog's breathing is normal. He doesn't have the difficulty of feeding before..But he only eats things like eggs and ham. He didn't even eat that before. But now my dog have mussels twiching on legs.and can not walk properly.This is why the doctor called it cannie distemper..Being able to eat and recovering from the lung infection is not a sign of recovery?..will my pet not be able to walk normally.?.or will I lose my pet forever from this disease.?.because everyone gave me negative attitudes.I can't imagine what to do now. .I can't live without him😞💔

nakakaiyak naman, Congrats kay Santi and sa Recovering Team! ❤️ Yung case ko kasi i have 11Dogs, (1Mother Dog and her 4 pups), and i have 6dogs. 1 puppy got Positive sa Distemper, to the point kahit gamutin ko, umabot pa din siya sa Seizures. Req ng Vet sakin to “Utilize” (Force Kill) napaka sakit sakin after ko alagaan, rereq lang to utilize to save others. Kailangan ko mamili, to the point na parang ako nag karon ng zombie sa pamilya at kailangan siyang patayin to save others. Airborne ang Distemper Virus. Just to inform you. We have a dog who got neurological phase of distemper. Dog was very bad affected. We gave him GISKAN, russian antibodies for distemper, parvo... It saved our dog. Also, we have donated other GISKANs that have left. It has saved another dog from parvo. Dog was very very ill, and as our vet said in no time, after two doses dog came back in normal. In Serbia it costs 15e. It WORKS!!!! If your dog is ill from these illness, search for GISKAN!

Thank you for sharing your success story fighting CDV. I wonder why the vet did not recommend Canglob D after the 1st diagnosis? My dacshund now suffering CDV for 2 weeks. We almost have the same meds, he is now eating well and active. But randomly, he will suffer seizure and keeps shivering. I'll ask our vet if we can also give him a Canglob D shot. Hopefully this will help him fully recover in CDV.

currently 1 of my japspitz has disptemper. kasalanan ko kc di ko sya agad napa vaccinenan ng 5in1... buti yung isa naming dog may vaccine kya di nahawa... takot na takot ako nung nakaraang week kasi grabe ang ubo at sipon nya di sya makatahol puro ubo... nagkataon pang walang wala kami pang vet... nilakasan ko ang loob nag search ako ng tamang pag gamit ng antibiotic sa dog... smp500. 6ml na tinunaw sa yakult tapos hahatiin 3ml twice a day... in 7 days... and thanks God at after a week nawala na ubo at sipon... kumakain na rin sya... pero mahina at nagmumuta pa rin sya kya nsa gitna plang kami ng laban.. sa ngayon, everyday ko din sya binibigyan ng multivitamins and minemakesh=ure ko na marami syang pahinga.. please pray for my Cong pra gumaling na sya...

And feed your dog with beef soup and make it with beef and beef marrow bone... give it to dog (no bone, just marrow bone, and beef, and soup)... also b vitamin helps.... I am crying while watching this video. Masaya ako para kay Santi pero sobrang lungkot ko para sa mga aso namin. Kanina lang, my isa akong dog na nag positive sa distemper and was given medications. My dog is sick for 6 months.. the first doc said it’s arthritis then after a month he fell sick and we went to a different doctor.. my dog got admitted, they told us it was lepto we treated it for a month but my dog is still sick.. i went to a third doctor and she said it’s erlichia so again, we gave antibiotics for a month.. still no progress and then one day he can’t walk anymore.. now he has coughs and bump his head in the wall. He’s currently confined in another hospital.. right now he’s at his 4th veterinary hospital 😭

Sorry for the late reply, my bad. No, my dog wasn't vaccinated and that was my deepest regret. The Vet, didn't actually suggest it. I had to ask about it because I've read about it. She then had it ordered (they didn't have it on stock) for me. I think the Vet went ahead with the Canglob shots when Santi's appetite began to improve and was gaining weight very slowly - though the nerve symptoms were still there. Good luck!

Sana all po support fam sa pag aalaga, ako kase ako lang talaga nag aasikaso, walang pake mga kasama ko sa bahay, sinusukuan na agad pagpapainom palng ng gamot sobrang hirap ng walang katuwang lalo na yung dog ko po pumipiglas malakas sya pumiglas and hindi ko kaya ng ako lang mag isa ayaw magpainom gamot😢 1 week mahigit na sayang walang gana nanlalata, may lagnat, sipon, and inuubo na din.. Hindi ko madala sa vet Dahil aggressive po siya and may trauma po kase sya Dahil pinapalo sa bahay kapag nagngangatngat😢 honestly Hindi ko na alam gagawin ko.. any suggestions po huhu maraming salamat

Hi. I'm glad to hear your dog is doing well. I have a dog that was just diagnosed with distemper and I was wondering where you got the canglob D Forte. My vet doesn't have it. Can you please direct me to the name of your veterinarian so I can ask them if they have Canglob D Forte. Thank you.

Just to inform you. We have a dog who got neurological phase of distemper. Dog was very bad affected. We gave him GISKAN, russian antibodies for distemper, parvo... It saved our dog. Also, we have donated other GISKANs that have left. It has saved another dog from parvo. Dog was very very ill, and as our vet said in no time, after two doses dog came back in normal. In Serbia it costs 15e. It WORKS!!!! If your dog is ill from these illness, search for GISKAN! Buy this, this is better than Canglob D, we gave that to our dogs, one got neurological phase, second did not. But when our dog got neurological phase we gave him GISKAN. It was very bad. But now my dog can run, jump, eat, play, she is very very happy and normal again, with just little issue, it was much worse before much much more... SO please find GISKAN. IT is not expensive and it works!!!

How much is for the medicine for this? My dog also has distemper and im afraid i couldn’t afford much for her after spending money for her check up

I don't recall anymore, as my kids shouldered the costs. Better check with your vet.
