That's how they all start out until they start pulling in big boi views and sub counts. Then the sponsorships come, you start making real bank. Then you go improve your equipment, you start looking at your analytics more, what kind of content brings in the views that bring in the money. You start playing a character for the content more and more until the authenticity is lost. Before you know it, he's just another bland youtuber careerist instead of a hobbyist and the appeal is lost. Either that or he gets bored before he makes it big and quits.

21:42 The Cave Dweller spawning AI does not require light. It runs on a timer. 5 minutes underground is his spawn interval. From there he will occasionally appear and respawn at different locations. He basically has 3 AI's: Stalking, cowardess, rage. Staring at him can have a chance of safety but so can looking away which does a coinflip to determine if he'll enter cowardess, or rage. In rage, he attacks you head on, in cowardess he either disappears or runs away then despawns. Even if you kill him though, the cavedweller brain AI will eventually respawn him in the next 5 minutes. Finding ways to strip mine from bedrock to the surface in under 5 minutes... is most optimal...

@@justseffstuff3308 Nah, this thing runs on a dedicated B.R.A.I.N., which is a sophisticated multi layered AI brain. It would probably just spawn a block above the slabs due to it's scripting. One thing it cant do is climb vertically, so if you build 3 blocks high, it can't reach you. Add a ladder though? He has no problem reaching you.

What I love about this series is the sense of emptiness. Your in a barren wasteland with monsters. The mods you currently have are simplistic and dont drastically alter the game or gameplay. This keeps the focus on you and the monsters.

i think it depends on where he is, yes the biome is a cave biome but he is several blocks above sea level (which is around 63 if i recall correctly in minecraft) so it may be that the dweller does spawn on surface or it may be that it depends on heights too

It’s already been said by numerous people, but dude, I seriously can’t stress enough just how comforting and nostalgic these videos are. I find this fascinating because it makes me nostalgic both by having the cozy elements of building nice, home-y structures, like the glass dome and farm you're making, while also instilling the sense of fear that early (youth) Minecraft playing brought, which here of course is amplified immensely.

Yeah, playing Minecraft back in 2009-2010 was the few moments where i felt fear and excitement. Fear because of the render distance being low to be able to run on our shitty laptop, which also meant fog, as well as the stories of Herobrine going around and The Yogscast's Israphel, combined with just the fact that Minecraft was a different, harder game back then. It was all just perfect.

I somehow vividly remember one of my first times playing, where I dug myself down on a beach during the night and all of a sudden I heard the straw-slurping sounds of a Spider (did not know how they sounded back then). I was pretty petrified as I knew sand would collapse and expose me, so I was just sort of stuck there for many minutes, deeply unsettled. This would not happen today, but back then, it was so memorable.

I remember watching old minecraft series's where the world was barren. Playing vanilla with just a dripstone cave is somehow even more apocalyptic looking. I would definitely recommend the mod Sound Physics Remastered! It's small, but adds a ton of ambience, especially in caves. I find it goes great with dynamic lights from shaders to add some sweet immersion. Great work on this series. You deserve the attention! Hope this vid blows up too!

21:58 The cave dweller has different spawning conditions, light level only matters for surface spawns if you have that enabled, otherwise he always spawns right outside of 16 blocks from you on a block that cannot see the sky, and also his spawning checks to see if there's a clear path to your exact location too. so you can't even get lucky and have him spawn in an enclosed separated space either.
