Where I live jjajang myun costs $13, Kalguksu costs $19, and tteokbokki costs $18...all before tax and tip. Add about 30% if including tax and tip, they become $17, $25, and $24. So what cost you $10, costs me $66.

I thought India was cheaper than Indonesia, because in Indonesia u can get 10 meals with 10 dollars. 1. Nasi Goreng 2. Nasi Padang 3. Warteg 4. Pecel Lele 5. Ayam Geprek 6. Nasi Uduk 7. Sate Ayam 8. Bubur Ayam 9. Soto 10. Ketoprak and a lot more other options 😅

@@aldinoruswandi again, it depends on where you buy your stuff In restaurant chains, things are more expensive, and the same is the case with fancy restos But mort businesses allow you to buy a filling meal for less than a dollar, and I'm saying that from my experience as a Bangalore native, where things are more expensive than most other places

@@kawaranai6742 We're talking about street food here like in the video, that people buy in their daily basis. Btw, you can get 3 fulfilling meal in a restaurant with only $10 in Indonesia. My favourite one are Solaria, Gourami Restaurant, and Padang Restaurant.

The food is cheap because its proportional to the minimum wage in korea. Aka not much which is why poor countries rely on tourism. But korea has rising prices in the cities.

it depends on the area. in areas like gangnam/seocho, hannam, apgujeong, etc. if you’re in a neighbourhood closer to the city, it’s highly likely the food is going to be expensive. in other smaller 동네s or neighbourhoods, it’s usually in also small places not run by corporations and stalls that sell cheaper if you’re interested enough to explore quieter places.
