I cannot measure how grateful I was learning (by a bit of accident) that specialists can help with the building phase of putting up structures.

Or go in to the custom settings. There is a hidden achievement to survive 100 days on over 250% difficulty. I went with 255%. Technically you can go with 350% difficulty. But I'm not sure if that is possible, because you start with no specialists. Specialist are the main way to get money, before you have enough tech. No specialists, no tech and no money to buy specialists unless you get lucky with events.
