Bible in a year and Catechism in a year done by Fr Mike Schmidt on Utube is wonderful way to learn as adults about our Faith . Several of us did that during Covid and beyond.We kept checking in and encouraging each other as we did it. It brought the Mass more alive for me.I learned so much.Grateful to have access to do that. Convert from Anglicanism here. Why? Well, whilst my journey to find Jesus led me through many Protestant denominations, it dawned on me after many years that anyone can talk about Jesus, even reverently, and yet not follow him. I realised that I was in fact searching for Truth more than I was searching for ‘the real Jesus’. Truth led me to a Catholic door, and despite knowing the turmoil coming from within, I entered, because I know in my heart that the cargo the Catholic ship carries is of eternal value and not effected or diminished by either the self-seeking attitude or animal behaviour of some of the supposed crew, or even the very regrettable navigating skills of whoever is piloting the ship. Christ is King, and His body is the Church. Alleluia.

Yes I abandoned the Holy Ship in protest against the woke infiltration I discovered courtesy of some Judas clergy some of which are 'pilots' but all I could hear was my own solitary echo chamber and realised that Jesus had to deign to join our imperfect humanity to save us so I must return to my post to join my brothers and sisters back on board holding fast to the Real CAPTAIN (and he knows who they are !). I live in Wales. Not all of us can find a Latin Mass. I find a reverant N.O. mass. There are no Catholic traditional groups. Most are progressive or dont want to say anything against the pope out of duty or fear. Most of us are doing the best we can and finding encouragement where we find it. I know i am in the Hands of Jesus through Mary. Thank you all. 🙏👑

I understand. There are not alot of Latin masses anywhere. People always say they travel for hours, that's not always or even possible.

There are a few TLMs in Wales according to www.latinmass.com/find-latin-mass . I often think about those who are without good, traditional Masses and hope the TLM can branch out further. I know its not possible for some, but In Texas we travel over an hour one way for the TLM every Sunday (some people travel 3 hours one way). You could try going once or twice a month if every Sunday isn't possible. Or you could always move to an area with a TLM that's not likely to give up and close down. The faith and the TLM are the most important things in life! :) You could start a traditional Catholic group for laypeople in your area to meet up every week for social time, prayers, Rosary, Bible study, etc. I bet there are lots of people who would meet up and find it a great relief. You wouldn't have to meet in the church, since many priests or bishops are unorthodox and would have a problem with this kind of group. Also, we need to evangelize and increase the population of traditional, orthodox Catholics in our area. Then we'll have more priests and more options for the TLM. You know Mr. Marshall I reverted to the Catholic Church some time ago. We are blessed in parish with a faithful priest. It is not a latin mass. I did attend one though once. Went directly back to my novus ordo. It fine and I see why some like the latin mass, I was not impressed. I belong to fairly small parish but I am feed the Sacrements and are taught correctly. My Priests was raised in a local parish and was assigned to several other parishes and finally ours. Is a very fine confessor. Delivers excellent homilies and teaches the accurate faith to young and old and all between. I know all parishes are not as blessed but should be, God willing.

Great coherent convo here. Wow. I am orthodox Catholic returned to RCC seven years ago after 49 years of being in darkness. I like very much what Fr. Ripperger has said about "voting" as a Catholic. We have a duty to vote. Its not just voting for a "lesser evil," but more important to vote to preserve the good that would have been lost by either not voting or voting for the opposite choice. That nailed it for me in this crazy world. So that said, voting for Trump.

I feel He is telling me a time will come there will be no Mass of any sort so I need to be ready for this. Many years ago there was an American Cardinal, Cardinal Wright, wonderful priest in a talk he gave to the faithful he said during the Reformation in England the Bishops, Priests were unfaithful to the Church it was the laity who held on and kept the Church alive in England and again it’s largely the laity who are faithful to the Church’s teachings in these painful days. I was Roman Catholic, now (thank God) Orthodox. The Orthodox Church is NOT 'ethnic', by which I mean 'yes' there's a lot of Greeks or Serbians etc but also English converts PLUS the fact that Rumanians, Russians, Greeks etc are VERY welcoming. The Orthodox Church is the Church founded by the Lord Jesus Christ and she has NOT diluted the Liturgy, teaching on faith & morals etc. Time for Orthodoxy! ☦☦☦

I just wanted to know more about the reasons he may have given as to why just months after being ordained as a protestant pastor he changed his mind so quickly to become a catholic. I personally think that people who change their minds so easily have very weak convictions and are to be trusted only at one's own peril. I also think that anyone or anything that goes against Jesus' prayer on the cross that the church He founded upon St. Peter remain united as one just like He and the Father are one is the work of the devil. Only the devil can rejoice in deceiving people to rise up against the church of Christ like Taylor Marshall and Vigano et al are doing. I hope my position is now clear on that.

As a cradle catholic and as old as I am (72) it is my belief PDJTrump has done more for catholics more than profess catholics such as biden and pelosi. I understand well why PDJTrump has to seek the middle way as a political expediency. PDJTrump is not catholic, catholics I believe should not put so much expectation on him to tow the lines pushed by catholics. PDJTrump is the only person in the american political arena that listens and decides and implements once he understands what needs to be done. My opinion is catholics should work hard to elect PDJTrump and work with him if elected.

I would say that many cradle Catholics now experience the journey towards orthodoxy in a similar way to converts because of poor catechesis. Actually I went to an Anglican secondary school because all the convent schools were closing down! But I had a good godmother

For example, recently the senior partner of a large firm of solicitors (an immigrant) walked off with about £20 million of his clients’ money. As a result, all solicitors in the country are required to increase their contributions to the indemnity fund from £660 last year to £2,200 this year. Who will pay the missing £20 million? The general public. Solicitors are not going to stump up the additional £1,540 out of their own pockets - their hourly charging rates will be increased to cover the amount which needs to be raised. This assault on our finances by those who have no loyalty to our country, or our Law, but who are permitted to set themselves up as solicitors just the same, is another problem arising from uncontrolled immigration.

Christ has been written out of our laws and washed out of the hearts of our children and consequently the world is rudderless. Unless He is restored there is no hope for mankind. It is the shepherds of the Church who have allowed the crisis in the Church to develop (which Our Lady warned us was coming in1611, in Quito). Our shepherds are weak. At Quito Our Lady warned that during the crisis, "...he who should have spoken will remain silent." We need stronger bishops who are prepared to speak and act, not cower, frightened to speak. Vatican 2 has been a disaster for the Church - just look at its fruit. The Church can only move forward by going back to the traditions and heritage handed down by the apostles.

My, my reality of being Catholic in America is somewhat different from that of Dr. Taylor. Being 90 years old, baptized as a baby and growing up initially in the thirties my view of England was formed by the war. I never thought much of them being Catholic. Rather I thought they were mostly just Protestant followers of Henry 8. Still I was filled with admiration for them while trying to catch BBC when it was a great station, before becoming the Lord Haw Haw Commie like station as I now think of it. The English in my mind were the valiant commandoes, people undergoing a Nazi bombardment daily, bravery in North Africa and so on. Mt Catholic life was a gift. Wonderful nuns teaching us the true Deposit of Faith. Even the Democratic Party was known as the Catholic or Christian party. Coming from a family of 12 children the boxes of food sent via them on special days was exciting. Oh how the party has changed. Being American Catholic was peaceful in those days. I still thank the nuns RIP and pray America Can return to what it was. The past is not always bad, although the Commie trick is to make us think it was.

Interesting discussion. I listen to CU & TM often. I’m a member of CU & recommend people join & share their work. * Not sure I agree with y’all’s take on DJT. (I know you all have nuances.) My take on DJT is that Catholic supporters still see he’s willing to make the sacrifices and take the hits that others won’t. TM, other commentators, and the rest of us can sit safely in a study and say various things, but DJT supporters know politics is a nasty (and deadly) business. I can handle criticism of DJT, but sometimes the contempt for him comes across, & I don’t buy into that disrespect for someone who has sacrificed so much. I’m a Catholic for DJT, even if he sometimes makes me cringe. He gets more right than wrong. I’m so grateful for what he’s sacrificed. Until he does something that changes my mind, he has my full support. * Totally agree that bishops & pastors should be leading the way on these topics by helping the faithful understand the Faith & know the position on non negotiables. Reading of scripture is done Everytime you attend a Catholic mass... In the mass 3 scriptures are read.... Old Testament, gospels and new testament.... At every mass.

In addition, in the Eucharistic service 4 different readings are read. And the liturgy is largely Scripture. So we are immersed in Scripture. Thanks be to God!

Catholics may have to either vote for Trump or not vote at all, but going forward, I think Catholics should stop providing donations to the Republican Party. It might be better to only support Republican politicians who have the courage to take a pro-life position rather than the Republican Party providing financial support to it. That kind of financial squeeze might bring the party back to a pro-life position. Of course, we should continue to pray for them and this country.

After 30+ years away from Catholic faith I came back last year. I watched Taylor, Fr Rodrique for several years but what moved me was Fr Ripperger. He was talking what us mortal sin which I didn't have right??? Well there were quite a few on my soul. Second I learned meeting God is going to be judgement and consequences....not a happy good time. It was like a veil was lifted off me. I saw the truth by Fr Ripperger. I also began watching Fr Blunt...he is charismatic...lively!!
