I remember this day VERY WELL!! On the south side of the island it was double head high and an off shore wind. All the places were going off. Legendary day!! I missed it due to work but caught the tail end the next day. Even then it was amazing! Glad you scored on that day!! Awesome to see you experience this place and all of its glory!!!!

What an absolutely beautiful place. I have family there that I haven't seen in years. Thank you Ben, this video has brought back a lot of very good memories. It must be nice to surf in a place where the damages from human activity are not so evident. I am excited about joining you on this journey of surfing so many countries.

EPIC!!! Ben, I love your channel and watching you score everywhere you go. If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, that might not be considered a novelty wave, but is rare of a place as you’ll ever find, go surf the Azov sea in Ukraine. I spent a summer there, and just happened to score some waves when we went to the beach there. It’s fickle, but like nobody rides it - it would be epic to see you charge it there. You might have to wait until after Russia and Ukraine sort things out there, but if and when they do, it would be a cool place to go visit - it’s as rare of a spot as you will ever see. For the dream!

Long interval swell is so powerful. This spot looks fun & not too closed out. This same swell hit us in Northern California at 16 feet at 18 seconds. I blew my knee out catching an insider after a set wave on this swell. Now I'm hobbled 😆 after surfing 🏄‍♂️ for months straight.....

Ben quite the adventure. You plan to surf every Country is off to a rolling start. You definitely hooked up with the best “Western Canada Surf Guide, Captain Herring” Just goes to show you that surfing and surfers are not type cast. I would’ve never thought Canada would have waves like I saw, and I’m sure much better. Ben, what DJI drone are you using? You’re getting great shots. I’m anxious to talk to you in person about this trip when you come back to Encinitas. PK😎
