It’s so hard to stop 🤦‍♀️ the bags are so gorgeous. But that being said, I don’t buy any other bags anymore. I completely got over the low quality bags from Louis Vuitton and Chanel.

Hi Ziggy. I hear you. I did feel like you in the beginning of my “journey”. If I have known what I know now I would have strategized a bit better on what to purchase to save some money and time on getting the 1st QB. It does really help to speed up the process by having a SA who you can jive with. My husband also helped a lot to speed up with getting me the QBs. At the end of the day, you really need your SA to keep you in mind and of course, you will have to purchase from certain categories that the boutique needs to meet its goal. Honestly Ziggy there’s patience and there’s abuse! 🤪 I am shopping in a very competitive boutique but I never waited a year for a bag. The most I waited was 4 months and it was at the very beginning. After 4 quota bags, I learned that if you can and want, go for pricier items instead of shopping a little every month. Now I really don’t go every month , I wait and get a more substantial item and right after, in less than a month, I get a bag. I am not overthinking anything now, I don’t feel played, I am not buying stuff I don’t want or love, I keep it organic, If I don’t want anything, I don’t go, I say no to offers if I don’t like it. I feel the first offer is the stressful one, after that, it’s more chill.

Thank you! This is the best advise I have gotten so far! Yeah I only buy the things I love and want. I have been contemplating buying a Kelly gold bracelet so I might buy it next year. I’m sure after a substantial amount like that, a new bag will come. I have been buying smaller things so can’t complain really. It’s been a good year for me. I had 2 bags so I’m good either way. 😃

Great video! My first QB (Birkin 25 - Etain) was quite easy to score, but my “journey” towards my second QB was exactly as you described: slightly draining and exhausting! Nevertheless, my home store has always had the BEST customer service, and my SA and I have a great relationship.

You need a new SA or a new boutique. It shouldn’t be that hard to get anything non quota bags. I don’t have that problem with my Hermes SA.

Agreed. I started my journey at a competitive store this year but still buy a lot pre-loved because H literally does not even have rings in my size, the RTW I want I have to wait for my size, the shoes I have to wait, everything is waiting not just the bags. So how can I even built up my loyalty when they don’t have my shade of lip oil? I think right now at the height of popularity is not a great time to be voyaging. I’ll still hit up my SA for anything selling pre-loved for over retail, and cosmetics that I wouldn’t buy second-hand, but really it’s become the long game, like 3 years out maybe a bag kinda thing so I’m in no rush at the store, and I’ll walk straight in with my pre-loved B30 to prove it.

That’s actually a good way to go. Yeah everything in Hermes is waiting. I would sometimes visit my SA to just see what’s in there and buy if I liked something. I have a few items on my list my SA ordered for me. So just have to wait. Thank you for sharing your insights.

You need a better SA. I just text my Hermes SA for any non quota bags or any items I want and she’ll find them for me.

i refuse the beg for a bag or anything from Hermes. Since I can get preloved or not used on swedish auctionhouses - i prefer that . I do buy scarves new and would never buy shoes that is used. And i cant buy shies in ordinarie shops anyway since i have size 35 in on e feet and 37 in the other. And i do not want to buy two pairs

That’s actually a smart move. I have been considering bidding at sothebys myself but have just been holding off for a while. And yes agreed, shoes never buy used and scarfs yes buy from Hermes directly. They are beautiful and so many ways to use it. 😀

For the most part i got what i want from hermes except qouta bag of course i really only like the kelly bag i got the sac roulis i dont buy what i dont like, i wanted to get the throw pillow and blankets lol but its too itchy so i dont buy it, it looks nice but i cant use it

I have the blanket, they are soft. It’s cashmere. Yes I agree don’t buy what you don’t want otherwise you’ll start resenting the brand.

I say this respectfully and hope someone who knows can add if I have missed something here. You are not the only one to come forward this week about this “Hermes’ journey” also right when these luxury brands are merging to save themselves. It sounds like you know that you are in an abusice relationship. This company sucks. Remember when they wouldn’t allow Oprah into their store? They are bad. You paid for products and were not given them, you invested and didn’t get real dividends and a product. So you are paying to be given the run around for objects that are yes well made not innovative, there’s no tech or anything new or special except for this so called “journey” do you think Melania Trump or the Kennedys or others will really include you in a special club? So what do they offer? Maybe you did not mention the perks that they do offer you special things like lunches and dinners with other Hermes customers? Events? Tickets! Customization? Special website community?

Thanks for the insight. Hermes is a heritage brand, rightfully so they are great in marketing. Scarcity breeds demand as people really love their products and the brand itself. High quality items at its best, this is what they are known for so a lot of people covet the brand this way.

Because I think it is beneficial to those people who are actually in the same situation as I do. I understand you do not like the brand, to each our own, we all have different opinions and what’s important in someone’s life might not be for another. We respect each others view points in life.
