THANK YOU! I wish your video was posted on memberstack (instead of the video tutorial they uploaded - confusing and not user-friendly). Seriously! AWESOME work, as of Friday memberstack 1.0 did not allowed bulk uploads and I had to switched to 2.0 to be able to release a website project and there was nowhere to find good instructions. Memberships in webflow is VERY limited at this time. I've been looking into it, but it's pretty much limited to gating pages based on user groups. But you can't really provide any additional permissions or privileges to members. I can't even figure out how to output member data (like "Welcome USERNAME") on any page of the site.

Hey Great. so using this process it should be able to make two types of user logins as long as you place the content for each user into a gated content folder for the respective user. for instance, an app where professors and students both need to log in but see different versions of the site depending on their role.

Hi, thanks for the fantastic guide. I am getting an error "Passwords cannot be submitted" whenever I hit the submit or login button. No guides online seem to give a solution that works. Only 1 form on the page, header entered and all steps followed correctly, CMS site plan enabled, memberstack setup correctly, all attributes added correctly and even a dummy member setup on memberstack. Still getting the same error...it's really deflating me. In fact some webflow support guides even say its disabled by webflow. ...Anyone able to help with this issue? :'(

I've had this before. I'd try 2 things: 1) Clear cookies 2) This is probably the issue. Make sure you're signed out. If you don't have a logout button on your page, make one, click it to make sure you're signed out, then try to log back in/create account. You can't create an account or login in if you're already logged in and it can be tough to tell if you're logged in or not when you're building.

Didn't seem to change anything so I eventually just changed the password field to a plain text field to get around it and I am hoping I can use some animation to add asteriks when they type or something. Every bit of support online gives these support steps and it hasn't fixed the issue. There are also official statements from Webflow saying webflow wont support password submissions due to a security concern and that we need to use webflow memberships instead. Lone behold, when changing password field to text field it then submits and submits correctly to memberstack. Sadly, my expertise in this platform are limited so it could just be something I did wrong somehow.

Anytime I'm logged in and I open the original domain name of my website in another tab, it takes me to the original home page and not the home page for logged in members. How do I fix this? Also, if I copy the dashboard link and open the link in another tab when I am logged out of the website, it still opens my dashboard. Is this normal? How can I fix this?

I had this error too when setting this up originally. Clear your cache to start that’ll help. But then it’s most likely an issue with your login/logout button. Make sure you have the correct attributes for both your signup and login forms. And then ensure that your logout button is set up correctly. Double check your attributes and let me know what you find!
