I agree. The idea that she should give up immunity to take out Jesse herself is ridiculous. It would be pandering, theatre and make no sense other than to please the whim of the Jury who loved Jesse. And because Jesse put forward the idea, the Jury aligned themselves with that idea and thought it was a cop out for Cass not too. She made the logical choice - she wanted him out and put the best fire maker up against him.

So Ride or Die was formed early into the merge and not when the edit showed it. That's pretty important to know and makes more sense as to why Cody and Jesse were so high on him at Final Tribal. Having them in the jury explaining all this to me at least, confirms that most of them were giving the win to Gabler unless he really blew it at tribal. Also makes sense why they didn't consider Cassidy 'in on all of the votes' more so than him. I respect it.

I'm a firm believer that whoever wins survivor on any season "deserves to win" because that's literally the point of the game: get to the end and receive the most votes from the jury. Gabler did that which means he ultimately did a great job. So good for him! But I also think that Cassidy did a really great job all throughout the game and I think there's a lot of misogyny in a lot of people's reasoning for why they "just don't like her" and that's disheartening to see. She has every right to be proud of her game because she did a great job and with a slightly different jury with a slightly different outlook and maybe a slightly different final tribal performance, she could have easily won the game. That's not what happened, so I'm not claiming she should have won; Gabler won fair and square and I'm happy for him. But people's disdain for Cassidy just because she dares to be proud of herself even though she lost is nonsense. I don't see her as entitled or cocky or delusional for thinking she had a good chance of winning, and I don't think as many other people would see her thay way if she wasn't a young woman. She should be proud of herself and I'm really happy that she is!

I also think part of the problem with Gabler's edit was that he would talk about his plans but nothing was ever shown of them coming to fruition. He talks about having a plan to get to final 3 in this interview but we still don't know what that was. We saw Cassidy win time and time again at the end when she needed it most and that stands out to a viewer. I really think they need to go back to 36-42 days as this edit didn't do nearly a good job of telling anyone's story in the game well enough. I am not one of those people who thinks it's boring when they know who's with who. Like honestly, this was not a good edit for showing why Gabler won or Cassidy lost. Jeff's remark about just 'showing what's out there and not editing to show who won' is one thing, but not showing events or showing them out of order and thus lessining their impact does the contestants and fans a disservice. Everyone was ragging on him about the merge feast Ellie name drop, but I thought it was a good move even if it was an emotional decision, but it's awesome to see that he had multiple reasons behind it and it was strategic.

I haven’t watched other interviews with previous top 5’s so maybe it’s the norm, but to me it seemed like Cassidy needs to just relax and process more. She came off sounding bitter in her interview, almost as if she couldn’t accept that Gabler had a better grasp on the game than Owen or she thought. I can’t think of a single move Cassidy made happen, whereas Gabler at least has Ellie. It also seems like Gabler had a bigger role in Ride or Die than was shown to us, and the fact he planted seeds to remove Cody and Karla is big as well. On another note I’m glad Owen confirmed how much the jury laughed while listening to Gabler at the end, I commented on a couple other videos that I don’t remember EVER seeing a jury so smitten by a finalists charisma like that. It’s a huge reason as to why Gabler won imo. Overall take on the season was that it was a great story with far better balance to advantages and idols, but that the editing seemed to focus the majority of their time on people that wouldn’t even make the final 3. We got more voice lines from Sammy, Cody, Karla and Jesse than we did from Cassidy or Gabler, which is crazy when those ended up being the top 2 of the season. Maybe editors are tired of people predicting the winner by episode 3, but I would rather the ending feel slightly “spoiled” by the edit than feel blindsided by the edit. In general I think the show is headed in the right direction with some really solid new characters, and I’m very excited for the next returning player season we get.

The whole agency thing is silly to me in this context. If you are in the majority that is your agency. Cassidy tried multiple times to get Ryan out and when he's voted out she thinks she has agency. Gabler is given agency by being in an alliance within an alliance, which was different than the Coco sub alliance. So he's given agency by voting with a majority. I will continue to say that I love Gabler "throwing out Ellie's name because he wanted to throw Ellie's name out there", but it was soooooo huge for his win and he got roasted by so many people for it. It was honest and simple, but it was incredibly effective. Great interviews Rob!

When u have that many ppl trying to vote u out ur clearly doing something, and her immaturity didn’t allow her to see that. It feels like Cassidy REALLY wants people to think (and wants to believe herself) that she would've won had Karla not poisoned the jury. I feel for her but at the same time, Cassidy's FTC performance left a lot to be desired, and all of the jurors seemed to have enough agency to vote for themselves. The jury member most likely to vote with Karla was the only one to give Cassidy a vote. Should've focused on her strengths (winning immunity challenges, taking out Karla and sentencing Jesse to fire) more in FTC, I think a better performance would've gotten her enough votes to win

He seemed to be really inclusive in addressing everyone so nobody on the Jury really had any beef with him. Cassidy didn't have any singular moves that she initiated or was truly integral in during the post-merge. If they didn't split and Shan played her idol, Erika would be out. Maryanne's move against Omar and the secret idol should go without saying, but she didn't need the hourglass either. Cassidy was almost as good as them. More social, less strategic overall. I didn't even want her to win! I wanted Jesse to win! I think both sides are correct. Some jurors were swayed by Gabler and had Cassidy answered better, the vote could have been a tie, ultimately resulting in Owen giving Cassidy a million dollar vote. That being said, supported Cassidy is a little bit hard because of all the Stans. Queen, mastermind, blah blah blah. I swear people can overhype a pretty girl to the point of me hating her because of them, like Michele. Not that Cassidy played that bad, or bad at all. Anyway she got a bit of a losers' edit, which only happens when we have undeserving winners like Amber, Natalie White, Danni, etc.! Some players only became legends in their second season, and pretty much there are no legends here except Jesse and Cody. Parvati, Sarah, Wentworth, etc. were NOTHINGS on their first show, and Cassidy (and everyone in the final 5 minus Owen) already played better than they did in their first seasons, so return there and BECOME LEGEND! I honestly don't think Jesse has a chance unfortunately.
