As much as I liked Claire, she made herself an easy target by becoming the new “Sandra Bench”. You’ve got to compete in challenges when you can to give people a reason not to vote you off. I don’t want to see anyone from Tika gone next, but if I had to choose, I prefer Carson out next. Otherwise, the next boots could be either Matt (still can’t vote at next Tribal Council), Josh, Jamie, or Kane.

Her main goal by sitting out every time was not about putting the tribe 1st with best chance to win. But more of a strategic move in her mind. If they win, great she's safe. But if they lose, she feels like: "well hey, you can't blame me. I didn't lose the challenge for us." I am glad to see the tribe majority saw through it. As she really did not contribute anything towards avoiding tribal council this whole season.

However much she may think she's too short to compete, or whatever, you gotta show effort or else people think you're free riding, which is what she was doing.

Looks like jeff may have had his money on Claire! He definitely, intentionally or not, was warning her of the bone headedness of the move. I think he steps in when people make obvious mistakes, perhaps to help otherwise strong players from getting voted out easily. He definitely intervened
