@@ThyPandora I agree. I grew up watching the old school seasons and when I watched Heroes vs. Villains like 3 years ago I just gave up after the first 5 episodes or so. All dumb strategy, secret idols, over plotting, everything calculated, and hardly any of the show was about battling the elements of their environment. Seasons 2 and 3 are my favorites for sure.

Chances of leaving Fiji are low for many reasons. 1. Survivor benefits from a 45% rebate directly from Fiji on production costs. A massive savings rate to invest in other areas of the show. 2. Fiji benefits from Survivor through employment for the locals and promoting tourism for the area. 3. Survivor saves on the cost of changing locations between seasons especially since they like to film the Fall & Winter seasons back to back during March-June. 4. Jeff Probst wants to stay in Fiiji and he would have influence over this decision ;) You could argue CBS could spend those savings on the cost of changing locations but that adds a layer of complexity such as transportation logistics and negotiating new deals with owners of the new destination.
