Laura has always just been ‘okay’ for me. She was kinda funny I guess, but I was never really rooting for her when she was on Redemption Island for her to make it back into the game.

It's obvious that Monica has spent most of her adult life being the supportive wife/mother and maybe she just doesn't know who she is apart from that. I get why people are being hard on her but I also have a lot of empathy for Monica. Hopefully this FTC forced her into some introspection and she's able to see ther her role as a wife/mother is not her sole identity

She was so genuine in this moment, I think Laura really helped her realize something about herself. Survivor is the one thing that allowed Monica to separate from her family and have her identity not be in their shadow, and I don’t even think she knew how much that meant to her at the time. It’s almost ironic and kind of a shame that Brad came back and got second place just like she did, and that’s one more part of her life that’s almost overcome by her husband.

I totally get Monica here. Some people perpetually struggle with who they are, what they like, and what they want. She was out there to do something for her own self. She may never know what that meant, or even if it worked. But... she gave it all she had, and that has to be enough.

This was such a beautiful moment shared between Laura and Monica. I really wish Laura had tossed Monica a vote, even if it were mainly a pity vote after that.

Ya basically she was just way too paranoid and unaware but I bet this was a huge learning experience to her

@@cullerjonesHer social game wasn’t bad in Samoa, she was at the top of the Galu alliance and if Russell and Natalie don’t do what they did she’s set up for a win

@@andygiraldo7898 we will never know but I suspect she would have a hard time winning a jury vote. Top of the alliance does not mean you neccessarily win a jury vote. Otherwise Russell would have won Samoa. Even Boston Rob on RI loses to everyone but Phillip and Natalie, to his credit he recognized that which is why he brought them to the end. I think her abrasiveness and how off putting she is to some people, for instance Shambo, Mick, Fincher, Russell, Jaison all outright hated her, so those are already 5 people atleast who are probably never voting her, and Erik Cardona didn't like her either. I think if she goes with say Kelly and Brett, she loses everytime just since they were so much better liked than she was. If she goes with say Monica and David Ball she might have a chance, but even there it would be tough.

Y’know, when I first watched this season, I was a very big Monica hater, but after hearing this speech, I kinda felt for her. I recently rewatched the season, with that in mind, and she definitely came out as more relatable, because truth be told, I’d probably be her, the “Puppy” or “Goat” dragged to the end.

This wasn't her being a bully though. This was a rare case of her trying to be compassionate and kind. You want to see bullying, nasty Laura see her and Shambo on Samoa.
