Had a 1500 SS for a number of years and sold it when it was 35. Yes, very slow (over 20 seconds for 0 - 400m) but stunning appearance. Am not a mechanic but a huge fan of them so any questions I will do my best to answer...
@warrencramer45163 жыл бұрын
Over here in Australia, my dad had one, but I believe it was just called the 1500 SS (over here didn't carry the name Luce,) and looked identical to the one in the vid. He owned it from about 76 till about 83. His favourite!
@club1fan5522 жыл бұрын

QOTD: On the first weekend of October, there is a great British car show held in Waynesboro, Va. About 200 cars show up every year. Virtually all of the more known (and some of the lesser known) brands are represented there. Great video on the Luce. As far as differences between the SS and the Deluxe, the SS also has a Tacho dash, spot lights, high compression head, different cam and the SS and the 1800 had an optional CR 4 speed. I think the SS might have different springs too. A real sports version, not just badging and trim.

Well, in all fairness, both Triumph 2000 and Mazda Luce were designed by the italians (Michelotti and Giugiaro respectively), so they both have those typically proportioned italian lines, which were pretty much on every mid-late 1960s italian sedan.
