The brilliance of Tina as a winner is that she was the first one that used people in the minority alliance to oust people in her alliance.
@reubenmanzo20544 жыл бұрын
Perhaps, but leaving Amber in the dark was very dangerous as that gave her the perfect opportunity to flip (I even made that comment after seeing it the first time). Even though she didn't (which I think was silly on her part), I still think it would've been safer to do that after finishing the minority.
@thefourthversion3 жыл бұрын
@@reubenmanzo2054 it’s a risk for sure, but Tina knows very well that Amber wouldn’t flip, and I think even Amber knows her chance to get further is much lower if she flips. She is a definite 4th if she switched side, but she might have a chance to be in the final 3 if she stays with her original Ogakor alliance with Keith being someone she could target later on. If this happens in newer seasons, the risk for that to happen is much higher.
@reubenmanzo20543 жыл бұрын
@@thefourthversion If you follow this through to conclusion, Amber was the only person left out of the Jerri blindside which means she's not part of their core alliance. Therefore, she's not getting beyond final 4 with that group (unless she can win immunity, which she doesn't have a history of doing).

It was interesting to watch how Jerri evolves into a different player each time she plays and I really liked her game play in HVV. As for Colby, I really liked him the first time he played, and do not like his style in HVV, it seems like he pretty much given up..

*Jerri’s Final Words:* “You know, it's funny, because I absolutely knew this was coming. It must have been my remark about how this game isn't fair. I'm pretty sure that's what set everyone off. I've had a great time, and I'm still up for sitting around with everybody having a beer and laughing about this whole thing.”

Very gracious final words by Jerri - shows she's being a good sport. At least when she was in the jury questioning Tina and Colby she didn't give a Sue Hawk type speech and hid any sore loser thoughts she might have had. I do wish Nick had not won that immunity or he'd likely have been the one voted out since he was a former Kucha that was a physical threat even though she was a PITA. This way she could have stayed 3 more days and participated in the auction reward, especially since I recall chocolate was involved. ;)

To be fair, Jerri kinda knew what was up with the game early on than a lot of other competitors, as in likeable people are more of a threat. She was ahead of her time. Jerri was smart enough to vote for Tina in the end and she even said that Tina convincing Colby to take her to the final 2 is "powerful" and indirectly clever itself... It was Colby that was technically strategically slow as he unfortunately let his heart rule over his head. But back then it didn't matter, we were still getting used to the hype of new Survivor without considering the strategic elements of the show. Today he would now be seen as somebody who chose an Amanda for the final 2 when he could have chosen a Russell and won the game easily.

Awww, if they only knew what an undercover moron Elisabeth really was :) It still amazes me that Jerri was seen as a villain this season lol. Basically, if you were a woman that had any opinion whatsoever, you were immediately the devil's spawn. So ridiculous. Jerri is one of my favourite people to ever play the game.
@alexisdiva95 ай бұрын
Agree - she's very smart, has the courage to speak her mind and I read in between this season and All Stars that her favorite candy bar is Snickers, she loves coffee and dogs so I reasoned "any woman who loves chocolate, coffee and dogs can't be ALL bad."

Honestly, this was a really risky move that literally could've cost Ogakor the game and would've gone down in history as one of the dumbest moves in Survivor. With Ogakor blindsiding Jerri and leaving Amber out of the vote, it could've been a legitimate motivator for Amber to flip to Kucha, giving Kucha a 4-3 advantage over Ogakor and allowing them to vote Tina/Colby/Keith out and then voting Amber out last and ending Ogakor's game. Colby's shitty attitude towards Jerri and his inability to be patient with Jerri for at least one more vote could've tanked Ogakor's game completely. Unfortunately Amber was not the brightest here and still sided with Ogakor despite them indirectly blindsiding her, all because she never grasped the fact that she was on the outs of the Tina/Colby/Keith alliance within the Ogakor 5.

Its an underrated dumb move. They could've gotten rid of kucha (or most of it) and then booted jerri. Amber was literally thinking of flipping at f7
