Survivors of human trafficking tell their personal stories.
Victims of trafficking say their rights should be placed at the centre of actions to prevent human trafficking.
They were speaking at an event of the UN Human Rights Council's 14th session, titled: "Giving Voice to the Victims and Survivors of Human Trafficking."

Hearing these stories reminds me that there are so many who are victims of human trafficking. It's even more sad that their stories will likely be unheard as their ordeals are ongoing.

following a stranger is not a factor. many are kidnapped, sold by family, offered false employment and therefore hope to have a good future.

you are right when you say the big corporations has 0 interest to stop this..what is is made of the big corporations? Slavery..the salary that the workers makes for corporations is not even close to the amount of $ that the big head quarters keep it.The majority of us are a slave if we think ..ob this case, the human factor is devastating , the way this modern slavery is spreading is outrageous . It is up for the public to contribute with campaigns and bring this subject often.

It’s really horrible what’s happening in the world. We should all teach the next generation how to protect one another as if their our own blood relative or else there will be more and more victims. There is nothing hidden that will not be known. We will all stand at the judgment seat one day and give an account of our lives to the eternal judge.

You can't compare legalizing murder with legalizing prostitution, because murder is always a violation of someone's rights. With prostitution if a man or woman sells sexual services 100% willingly that's not violating someone's rights. Human trafficking would still be illegal. Legalizing prostitution would make victims of human trafficking, rape or abuse of any kind more likely come forward as they wouldn't need to fear prosecution themselves.

structural police problem in New York Minute 04:35 Kikka Cerpa, from Venezuela , told the harrowing story of how she was forced into prostitution in New York 18 years ago, by her former boyfriend. She told the Human Rights Council:“The other women and I were arrested over and over for prostitution. Never did the police or prosecutors ask us if we were trafficked. Never did they offer us help and protection.”

The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity. Just be "human" .. Too sad and disturbing to comment. But - it´s not even necessary, we should just listen and take action against it. Speak with your loved ones, get the knowledge out there!

The fact that this is lawfully created by design because these laws are literally not protecting us when we become Vulnerable and targeted.... Is making me so incredibly angry because this is literally the true reality in every single country basically, even here in usa or Europe. Probably mostly everywhere too. So how is that possible? Can somebody explain? Yes, I know money is a motivative factor that reveals the evil corruption humanity is capable of. But where is laws created to protect us? Us, when we are the most vulnerable?! Or are they just loopholes to make us potential victims? It's like the "protection" laws are just a storefront that is actually a criminal organization or whatever smh How can we make actual protective, bulletproof and enforceable laws that will change this and stop this problem???? I'm guessing we, the Regular people, should be able to create these laws and make them bullet proof and enforceable and fair. As, literally, this problem usually affects us normal folks. I guess the laws strength depends on your class too. There's simply something very very wrong in the root of society... I believe people are just really dumb and don't see the problem here. that this is clearly a power imbalance. power is created by money, which is literally dirty printed paper and its fuckinh spread unfairly. I hope that someday this will not be an issue anymore , that we finally grow up and change everything. And only then is when I am even gonna consider putting and baby in this hellish world. I literally couldn't live with myself if something happened to my baby, something I couldn't stop. But I would still feel like I should have been the one to stop it and probably live forever in misery... It makes me sad there is many parents or loved ones of trafficking victims or other injustice, who must feel that way infinitely 💜💛🙏 It was never your fault if you couldn't stop it. It's society, it is evilness outside of anyONES power. So we ALL have to do something together somehow.... 😐💛🙏💜

And nobody but actual Justice can protect us. Because these organizations wouldn't be needed or existent if we were actually protected by law. And,certainly...., and this is the most messed up thing ever....These organizations are not to be trusted as it even has come out what they are capable off. often they actually are not helping the good ones who actually need rescue and HELP. they are sometimes working for the evil and not for humanity.... certainly many times, I bet. The truth is we don't really know how deep the corruption is. All evil presents itself as goodness personified.... This is probably the saddest part about all this. You need to look up dynCorp...

continued: They don't come forward because they are ashamed of what has happened to them, and it is too hard to talk about. Talking about traumatic events is not easy. Runr100's thinks that if prostitution was legal, people being forced to be prostitutes would stop. That is just ridiculous. And... I was really angry that he thinks Christians disrespect women, so my argument didn't come out as well as I had hoped.

We are in the 21st century ( who can still doubt it) and it is bitterly surprising to note that despite the multitude of testimonies that consider this kind of life as very unpleasant (I hope that no one doubts the veracity of this opinion) . However many are not yet able to express themselves in favor of correct and valid justice for all these victims. ( I hope that my english was understanding) :-)

@MasterSergio2 You say you have been taught to respect women. Excellent. What have you done in practice? Ever pressured a woman who said "no?" Ever plied a woman with alcohol? The rate of teenage pregnancy is shockingly high-among Christians. Those who pressure women at fraternity parties were raised Christian. I know that you were taught never to disrespect a woman, but in practice the "forbidden fruit" seems to be too much of a draw for most Christian men. The same is not true in Europ

Unfortunately (Crimes of Aggression) have been a reality for centuries right up to this very day in various forms. Not only are individuals rights completely disregarded but a concept that these are potential comodity. It seems that once freed from their perpetrators these individuals are now considered Mental Health left to piece their lives back together themselves unless finding supportive agency. Postponing accountbility internationally only lowers the worth of young citizenry worldwide.

sex trafficking is not the worst form of exploitation, harvesting children's organs and the child ends up dead. the church when i was in care killed two children, who had been exploited in the sex trade, with pin-down because they like me complained of sexual exploitation by the UK churches and state apparatus/citizens. pin-down is gagging with psychiatric meds. exploitation or gagging that could result in death and surviving that is something to talk about.

I was saying that legalizing something.. doesn't make a completely different problem go away. There is murder in human trafficking as well as prostitution. Legalising prostitution won't stop human trafficking the same as legalising murder wont stop human trafficking. That is why I made the comparison. And why would they fear prosecution if they are 'victims' and not 'willing participants?' Who has been prosecuted for being a victim of rape or abuse? That is not why they don't come forward.

That would solve nothing. Don't be naive. Why would someone pay a prostitute, when they can have a slave for free. Do you think legalising murder will make people stop killing each other? Lets just legalise everything, then nothing would be wrong. Also... I am sorry.. I have been a Christian my whole life, and have never been taught to disrespect a woman. Quite the opposite. Where did you learn such rubbish?
