Episode 29: Karn Vows To Bring Vyas

Karn stops sena nayak Madan from executing his father by holding the chain. Madan tells Karn that he has to fight the soldiers to take his father safely from here. There, Raja Dhritarastra feels devastated hearing that his wife Gandhari has given birth to a mass of flesh. Bhism suggests him to calm down and makes an immediate move to meet his mother Holy Ganga to guide him over this difficulty. Holy Ganga tells him that Gandhari’s children are already born as seeds and only Maharishi Vyas will be able to give them a human structure. Having mistrust over Shakuni’s competency of bringing Maharishi Vyas, Bhism gathers soldiers and sends them to find Vyas. Karn comes and asks Bhism that if he brings Vyas to the palace, will he spare his father’s life. Bhism agrees to this. Karn leaves on his horse with Surya Dev as his guide to reach Vyas. Meanwhile, as Shakuni reaches Vyas’s cave along with his soldiers, he sees Karn coming on his horse towards them. Karn tells Shakuni that he would take Vyas to the palace. Shakuni laughs it off telling Karn that this is not a child’s play. But, Karn replies to him that he is not in a mood to play. Karn moves inside the cave while Shakuni watches him angrily.
