I dont like to compare, and i should be thankful to anyone had their times to watch this masterpiece. But, I've seen too many reaction videos of people just watching it straight and trying to comment without taking it seriously. As a Turkish, the very first moment when this song were published, I remember crying 2 hours straight. Actually at 23:25 they are talking about people with money who "buy" their university degree. In turkey community colleges are better than private ones bc in private ones there is a big difference btwn the ones who pay and others with a scholarship. So you can get into unis with bad grades and graduate and get in front of others who studied hard for it just bc you have money

The animals rights part is especially important for Turkey because we actually have dogs and cats on the streets, unlike most other countries. They are cared for and looked after by all the citizens but some psychopats occasionally do some f*cked up things to those animals, but they get huge backlash and some pretty good punches and kicks in return, and some fines too.

In turkey the relatives of the powerful people has more money due to the corruption as opposed to what western countries have as they have more robust ways to handle things like government projects. After all educated and talented young people of Turkey who has no relation or no similar ideology with the ones who are in power has very little opportunities and they don’t have much to do other than working in low level jobs.

Honestly, this is lyrical masterpiece and essence of rap music. Not to diminish all the rap staples we grew on, but these guys just ashamed almost anyone and make them look like a kiddos, playing just in their own kindergarden, without comprehending, that world is much bigger. and it even doesn't care about their local problems which majority of the people can't even relate to. Really, after hearing some of the tunes from those Conscious rappers, i just can't listen to them big name rappers talking about local or even personal lowkey shit and being graded as one of the best in rap music in history. Thank you chaps for your reaction, it is great to see more people find out about greatness of turkish rap. While we all have mainstream wannabees getting million of views for talking gibberish on the mic without any sense and relation, this on the other hand is what rap should be. They all are turkish or turkish-descent, but they talk global problems anyone can feel related. I listened to a lot of rap tunes in my life, but damn, this beats anything i ever heard by now in means of depth and sense by far.

21:30 It's not Turkish influence. It's Arabic influence. We call that genre "Arabesque. " There are songs that about poverty and love issues in Arabesque music. The uneducated people in Turkey, often listen to such songs as they struggle with poverty. We usually call the people in that part of the video "keko". They represent the most uneducated and poor part of the population in Turkey. Arabesque music was banned for many years as it was seen as a threat to the existence of Turkish folk music. So, it's Arabic, not Turkish.
