@brandi58032 жыл бұрын
I don't think she knew she was going to blow everyone's mind. With Asperger's you aren't really in tune with what other people think and how they react and how you should react. I mean, she has a voice that is out of this world and I can't believe a friend or someone didn't tell her before this. She went out there and killed it even after Simon wasn't the most supportive. If I walked out on stage and Simon started throwing shade on me before I had even begun to sing, I would run off the stage crying. She, along with Whitney Houston and Christina Aguilera, have the most incredible voices I have ever heard.

Susan Boyle sang that beautiful song to perfection. Hitting each high note with ease
Susan pulled off a miracle by just being herself. I am so happy that the preopinionated judges got the shocks of their livesbt this adorable, hugely talented woman blew them away.

I am still amazed how she's like..pro. no shaky voice or anything that's common with audience like that and no experience. From the start she pulls it like a pro and she loves every moment on that stage.

It ranks after Torvill & Dean's Bolero Gold Medal Ice Dancing Free Dance in Sarajevo on Feb.14,1984, watched by 24 million in Britain and countless homes worldwide. I watched it in Brooklyn, NY and have never forgot it. I have watched this Susan Boyle audition at least 50 times and absolutely love it.

I loved this performance. Update: Susan Boyle is still actively recording albums. Simon Cowell became her manager shortly after this performance and signed her to his record labels (Syco, Syco Music and Fanfare). She is also signed with Sony Entertainment, and Columbia record label. She did 10 tours in the UK in 2021, and sold 25 million albums to date. Further overlooked Update: first I want to say, I follow this woman like her publicist because I think she is an amazing woman. I love her voice, strength and perseverance! What I forgot to include was how resilient she is. Susan Boyle always thought she had brain damage from birth. She often felt this disconnection with some of her thoughts. During the middle of the show (BGT), she suffered a mental breakdown and had made up her mind to leave the show completely, but because she is a resilient woman, she was able pushed pass her difficulties. In 2013, she was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome which helped her to understand her psychological makeup. She regularly sees a mental health specialist and as a result, she doing fine….as we can see. I thought it was important and a teachable moment to include this information bcuz oftentimes, we self-diagnose or refer ourselves to Dr. Google and our assessment/self-diagnosis might be wrong. Therefore, it’s important to take our mental health very serious and seek professional real-time help immediately. I❤️you guys for your positive feedback and likes. Be and stay well, good people!

She certainly didn't help herself with the performance introducing herself to the panel and audience in the 1st place . But she's certainly made a career out of it . Even though I rarely watch the clip, but when I do it stills bring a tear to my eye occasionally .

@@ianbain8838 yeah, but for some odd reason, I never held the queen in great esteem, or either of her children. Can you tell me even a single great thing Elizabeth did in her entire life? Charles lost all of my respect when he took a mistress and his brother, well you know. Yeah I knew she died, it's sad. Charles is a dud, so I'm still not impressed with any of them. Just saying.

I have aspergers too but have no known aptitude according to aptitude tests so my grades school teacher told my mom that I am the first person she's ever known with no God-given gift. Never mind that I was reading four grades above my grade level but was only so-so at math. Math was an important ability when I went to grade school so I was considered a "failure" by my teachers because I was only good at reading and art. My teachers actually made fun of my art talent in front of the other students. As a result, I was bullied on the playground, and the teachers encouraged the bullying. My Aspergers was not diagnosed until I was 55 years old so I went a lot of years not understanding why the rejection and bullying in school and workplaces. I am no singer, can't carry a tune, but I will give others a chance to succeed in whatever they are good at by just having their back.
