This almost brought a tear to my eye because I immediately thought about going to my granny's house after elementary school and watching All My Children with her. So many memories. My question is who was winning in place of her? She's undeniable. I never thought about the OJ Simpson trial in the way she did. I know my parents were watching it unfold.

Soap Queen or not....she knows how to be a gracious lady and STAR. The reason she sticks out and remains famous and wanted as a commodity is because there are so very few GRATEFUL stars who are L-A-D-I-E-S and who still have humility and respect their fans.

This woman has aged so gracefully. Elegant and beautiful in spirit. She doesn't look like over half of Hollywood where they have had so much plastic surgery that they look like botox mannequins. A lot of women should take notes from her.

Never thought of Reality TV in that way, but she makes a great point with the OJ trial. More than the trial I would say the freeway chase though because you can't get more real than that.

Very good interview! I'm glad they didn't ask her about the whole feud with Sarah Michelle Gellar. That would have been awkward! Kathy Griffin at the Emmys claimed that Gellar told her that the year she won an Emmy for Younger Actress, Lucci was enraged and had her fired from the show. It doesn't correlate to the Lucci we see here who is obviously the most humble and personable woman. There is no diva thing going on at all, which is amazing since she practically invented that word with Erica Kane.

I think the feud was more on SMG’s side than Susan’s from a lot of what I read. If she were so enraged by other people winning, she wouldn’t have had the great relationships she had with Julia Barr, David Canary, etc. I read a post from someone who worked at ABC that said that Sarah Michelle Gellar was fired for being a diva, and pretty much rubbed her Emmy win in Susan’s face. It was her mother that started the rumor that Susan couldn’t stand the competition and had her fired. Everything I’ve ever heard, read, or seen about Susan tells of what an extraordinary, humble, and caring human being she is.

Great question by female host (Heather B) about strength because it really became an attempt at public humiliation at some point. Susan was right to ignore it, as much as possible, and find solace in the work and role. Perseverance and commitment to the right cause, person, job, etc are so important in life.
