I remember being madly in love with Susan Tedeschi for most of the 90s and being a huge fan of Derek for most of the early 2000s. They e two of my titans of the music I loved. This performance will always be a pillar of human existence, because I lost my skittles and was enamored with this performance. It was EVERYTHING. Not long after, Tedeschi Trucks was announced, and I was in nirvana. This was what music should be, the union of two absolutely legendary musicians. About that time, someone said.... "you know they're married, right?" and my universe collapsed. This is the best song TTB has ever done as far as I'[m concerned, because I equate this to the first.

Derek’s first solo on this is straight up brilliant. I’ve come back to watch this dozens of times and I can hear that solo note for note in my head at this point. It’s not the most groundbreaking piece of improvisational guitar of all time. It’s not a 5 minute face melting solo. But he makes every note count and it’s sheer perfection. He starts slow and beautifully builds into a crescendo. And for a guy known for his slide playing, this is about as good as I’ve heard him and there’s no slide to be seen.

Percussion is tight on this one! Susan's voice is amazing as always and Derek's playing was... informative as usual.

Friend just shared this with me. Such joy! How come I haven't heard these people??? So beautiful. This is that rare mixture of technique and so much emotion.

I wish Susan wouldn't hold back so much when she plays with the TTB. I love the mans voice, I actually thought it was Derrik singing (the voice from his band) until we saw them live. I was so pleasantly surprised to recognise his voice as the bands vocal before TTB merged Susan and Derriks bands together, WOW. Great move guys, what great sound you have made together. GREAT TEAM WORK. MORE PLEASE

Robert Lane indeed, the one starting at 3.15 is a pure display of soul and good taste. Derek really is among the greats

+Rick Young Me too, he is so smooth, reminds me of Clapton my favorite, but Derek is really a strong second , probably a draw at this point.

I've seen Derek play this live with his band when he opened for the Allman Bros years ago and he plays both Claptons and Duane Allmans parts seamlessly. He also played co-lead for the Allmans that night. We have seen T-T Band live down in Wilmington NC twice at a tiny ampitheatre and they were great. They have like a 10 piece band and should not be missed.

Best Band out there at this time check out I Am the Moon their 4cd set a ton of great songs to go with their catalog. Like the Dead never the same show twice and rarely repeats. I have seen this band live three times in the past year here's to Many more never disappointed.

Great performance. Having played the Layla album to death in college I always get goosebumps at 2:15. Drummer not paying attention misses Trucks' signal to start the wrap up at 5:59 and they go around another 4 bars before catching it.

Brilliant. I found this song because of Layla back in the 70s, but loved it more....so much so it made it onto every 8-track or cassette tape I made.

GOD smiled during the performance. He approved of this amazingly talented group covering one of His songs. And He keeps on inviting them back, festival after festival. He knows that good music will go on. It brings light to all of us, as fans.
