I've been in love with Susan's voice for nearly 40 years! I remember her blues back in the 80's, just knocked me out! She's authentic and means it, which is saying a lot today with the glitz and glamour taking the spotlight. Derek's a lucky man and I hope they hold it together forever! Tedeschi Trucks Band is the cure for America, but I will say Derek's and Susan's original bands had quiet and subtle perfection that isn't present in their powerhouse group. I hope those more intimate performances they have given aren't gone forever.

first saw her at the Riverwalk Blues Festival in Ft. Lauderdale around 1991 or 2. Opening act on Saturday, 10:00am on an already steaming morning, and she was wearing a key lime green sundress. Was also her birthday. Got an autographed CD and got to chat with her for a little while. I attended many of the Riverwalk Festivals over the years, but that remains one of my favorite moments...

20 years ago NOW ...Susan sings from the deep soul , why she gots' dem blues ..and her fingers make that guitar talk . in 2018 I was fortunate to purchase a ticket up in Jacksonville Arena , Florida and go see the Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi band. they put them all together they didn't let anybody go. An amazing event . if you all want good music you got to get out there and find it and go see these people live before they're gone believe me I've lived long enough to see almost all of them go now we have a whole new crowd of excellent musicians but they don't get much AirPlay because of corporate radio and corporate music venue.

Susan is the closest entertainer/musician to Janis I know of. She puts heart and soul into her work. I'd like to hear her do a Joplin songbook.
