I revisit this song over & over - it grounds me, helps me honor whatever moment I am in. I can always reach a bit farther!!! Thanks, Carolyn

This is one of the most moving songs I have ever heard and it speaks to my soul in ways even I'm unfamiliar with. I am so grateful to have found this here.

Thanks to Mike T. for telling me about Susan. I just bought her latest CD. She is better than most in Nashville. The greatest musical hidden treasure of all. Thank you Susan for revealing your great humanity through your songs. :)

Best singer-songwriter before the public today, hands down.

I learned this tune through an Ellis Paul/Vance Gilbert CD. Finally read the credits and came seeking. Please perform this at Swallow Hill when you return!

Susan is not only a gifted song writer, but one who can deliver the lyrics and you can actually understand every word! There are so many performers today that I can never hear all of the lyrics. She plays a nice piano and is a joy to watch. I am definitely your fan!!!!!! Arnie Fox, author of "Compendium of Over 2000 Jazz Pianists"

My mother and her sisters were going to sing this to my bride at our wedding. One hopes that still happens one day.

Outstanding. I first heard it performed by the performing trio "Red Molly" (highly recommended), and loved it. After Red Molly's version, it was interesting to hear it as it was originally written... Again, Outstanding.

Gorgeous music, witty and clever chat , and never cruel, except to herself maybe. Catch her if you can, plays on concert window too

Eventually we will move away from all this hardware on stage. It will be nice to see performers with their instruments--without mics, monitors, and steel tubing. Excellent tune, Susan!
