I just found this channel. I need to carve out time to binge watch all these super videos. This will be my 21st year teaching, (mostly first grade), and I have two Master’s Degrees, but I still find this material interesting!!!

We use Michael Heggerty in first grade and did all the parts every day for up to 15 minutes. He has a really good book that tells you exactly what to do. I am moving to kindergarten next year and will also use Heggerty. Should be so fun. Thank you for this video and the Structured Literacy video. Watched them both.

I'm taking LETRS training now. I appreciate you sharing a review of Drs. Tolman and Moats work with your subscribers!

I absolutely loved the LETRS training - I had learned a lot about phonemes in English and phonemic/phonological awareness in my undergrad (a LONG time ago lol), but LETRS helped me really piece it all together when teaching!

Wow! Our current curriculum has our 5 year olds doing a lot of the skills for 6 to 7 year olds. It makes sense now how students were struggling.
