Susanne is truly amazing. An incredible singer-songwriter, and one of the best live performers of the last decade. She's Norwegian; if she were from the US or the UK she would've been a superstar. Here are some recommendations: - The Silicone Veil (Live Skavlan 2012) - White Foxes - The Amorous Humphrey Plugg (live on BBC proms) - Röyksopp & Susanne Sundfør - Ice Machine (Depeche Mode cover) Live on Lydverket - The Brothel (either the studio version or Liva At Parkteatret) - Undercover (live) - Memorial - M83 & Susanne Sundfør - Oblivion - Röyksopp & Susanne Sundfør - Never Ever - The Sound of War (Live at Spellemann) - No One Believes In Love Anymore - When - Röyksopp & Susanne Sundfør - Running To The See Live on Lydverket

this song live at barbican is stunning. whatever susanne does, there will be no disappointment. well, her album music for people in trouble is a master piece, from the beginning to the end. if you are more into jazz, check the recording from the barbican. her brilliance is otherworldly. john grant is also supercool. a lovely gentleman and excellent musician

Wow. Try her poppie fast stuff. "Slowly" or "kamikaze". In fact "ten love songs" is an amazing album. It's like .. dark ABBA on fire.

I discovered her thru another youtube reaction channel - not this song. A contemporary artist of note. I like a few other songs by her as well.

Would love to see you react to more of Susanne Sundfør:) I can recommend her songs Silicone Veil (live) (both live at skavlan and the official version on her channel are really good live recordings) Personally i prefer the official live version ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYqsf3RubJWHg68 ) But also "The Brothel", "White Foxes", Undercover and many others. But if you want to do some deep dives into other Norwegian music that is perhaps a little obscure, but really really good (i mean your channel is called fish out of water :D) Then i can recommend: Gåte Knut liten Live at rockerfeller(kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5iQdp-gqq6Kg7M). Gåte (pronounced Gawthe) is a Norwegian prog-rock band that bases all its music on old norse songs from 11-1800's. They have a very unique sound. Also "Kom no Djiska" is quite good. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5rdeKmveJx2oNE) If you want old norwegian prog: Aunt mary with Path of your dreams (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWrQkn-Zg6mnj7M), quite innovative and different from early 70's Ruphus with Coloured Dreams (kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6HZg5R7m91_ea8) Gudny Aspås, the female singer was one of the strongest voices in norway in the 70's Or one of our best singers from the 90's Jan Werner Danielsen: (kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5SWZKmkdqaAbM0 ) Unschooled voice, but you'd never know it :D

You should check out the songs "running to the sea", and "never ever" by her and the electronic group Röyksopp! They are a little faster paced than this one.

Also 'Ice Machine', an amazing live cover of an obscure Depeche Mode song.
