The whole point of deku is that he comes from the absolute bottom(heck, the whole reason he gets ofa is because he first douted himself) and proves himself, although the original story could have gone better(yes having him be a prodigy with or without ofa would have been great)

Izuku always annoyed me all he did was cry about himself not having powers then the only time he decided to put the effort in anything and making his dream come true is when he got powers I won’t downplay what he did but like if he was to become a villain that would pisss me off
