@MoviesSue It's a whole lot better than trying to mute out the music, leaving only the person talking and other people in the background. Then you'll hear fragments of music playing. I have another KZbin channel that does that, and it sounds terrible.

@@MoviesSueI did see Soap Dish at the B&W Drive-In back in the early 90s. It's no longer there now. I thought the movie was goofy.

Yummy and Blood quantum are both zombie flicks that 👍 are really good. Yummy takes place in the Czek Republic, and Blood Quantum takes place around a Native American reservation that the zombies are more like 28 days later. Both are great to have in a horror collection.

The John Wayne boxset is a collection of movies in which THE John Wayne produced/co-produced. They are not blockbusters, but each are rated 6/10 in TMDB. Rat Patrol was a TV show based in Africa WWII and is decent for those who like war dramas.

I noticed that you found a copy of Paulie at big lots. This is a very sweet movie. It the first movie where I discovered Tony Shalhoub. They made reference to Paulie in one episode of Monk starring Tony.. If you ever saw the series "Firefly" starring Nathan Fillion, in his series Castle they made reference to that series. Really interesting

Some great pick-ups, Sue. Oculus is a really interesting movie. I just bought it on ebay for $20 brand new on DVD - $4 was a steal for the blu-ray. I can't believe the prices at Big Lots. If the Australian/US dollar exchange rate didn't suck so much, I'd be on a plane to America just to hunt for physical media.

Actually, this is making me sad. 😢 They are closing the last of our local Big Lots! I used to pick up movies for very cheap at Big Lots! All I have left for my blu-ray hunting is Walmart, B&N and only ONE Target that still sells plentiful physical media (the other local Targets sell next to nothing ☹).

The Amityville horror collection. It's certainly worth that money, especially for the second film. It was the best out of any of those that were made. It is loosely based on the original incident that took place in that house that started it all before the 1975 story in the original film.

Your Big Lot had a copy of "Same Kind of Different As Me," a really good rene zellweger title. Here's the answer on the John Wayne mystery: "Batjac Productions is an independent film production company co-founded by John Wayne in 1952 as a vehicle for Wayne to both produce and star in movies. The first Batjac production was Big Jim McLain released by Warner Bros. in 1952, and its final film was McQ, in 1974, also distributed by Warner Bros. Wikipedia"
