Yeah I really think it was mostly a texture thing for me with that one 😂 I don’t regret trying it though!

I've tried Sushiro maybe twice, but was put off by how limited their selection was ---even though you say this is limited, it looks like they may have added more to their menu since I was there last. I mean, it's the favourite chain for a lot of Japanese... Recently I go to Hama or Kappa. I used to go to Kura, but often it seems like it's filled with too many screaming kids and is a little less clean. I should give Sushiro another chance though👍

Oh I didn’t realize the whole chain was known for having a more limited menu. I thought maybe it was that specific location. I’ll definitely have to try Hama or Kappa next time I’m over there. Agree with you on Kura although the location I went to in Kyoto was immaculate!

You’re very welcome! There is a pay station near the exit. You will scan your slip that has your table number on it and they will charge you for what you ate and drank. I don’t remember seeing a card reader but I paid with cash. I should have included that in the video! Next time I am at a place like this I will make sure to walk through how to pay as well :) Thanks for watching and hope to hear back from you after you try it!

I personally would try the sushi before adding soy. Maybe it doesn’t matter here but in more high end sushi establishments the sushi artist has carefully crafted things and has specific flavours in mind. Just because it’s subtle doesn’t mean it’s bad. I’ve noticed Americans love to bombard everything with more and more things. I love a good punchy flavour but I also appreciate when the ingredients are allowed to sing. Also shark is not a crazy ingredient. You get sold it all the time but they just don’t call it shark. I personally refuse to eat shark because so many are endangered and they are needed to keep the environment stable.
