A man believes he outsmarted an undercover cop by selling him a fake drug, ends up in jail for that reason. With multiple charges it seems it won't be the last time he is booked into jail. Meanwhile, an officer catches an inmate on shift, wearing make-shift make-up. When questioned she reveals the creative ways she used her contraband to make make-up, including an M&M and black toothpaste. Elsewhere, officers deal with uncooperative drunk suspects.
Jail is an American documentary reality television series that follows suspects in custody from booking through to incarceration. The show documents events in different jails across the U.S. Jail is the sister show to Cops, a show that follows police officers on patrol.

If there is one thing I’ve learned in 41 years of life, 6 years of military, working in various fields, brother is a cop, six kids… the ability to shut the trap is rarer than any other talent. They just can’t. People can not do it. I’ve seen guys lose their careers because they could not shut the trap. Women throw marriages. People get themselves into worse legal trouble because they couldn’t shut the trap.

We do our children and society at large a disservice when we as parents do not allow them to learn to deal with disappointment when they are young. When we continually rescue them from the consequences of their decisions I feel this leads to entitlement on a massive scale.

I give the girl who got in trouble for having makeup on while she was a trustee/inmate in the jail there. Whodathunkit that you could actually use M & M’s for lipstick?? Lol, Except I think I’d lay off of using the lead from the pencil and toothpaste on your eyes for mascara and eyeliner…..that’s really not healthy & could be dangerous. None of these minor charges, even shoplifting will go on your record in South Africa. Our prisons are to overcrowded and the courts backed upped for years. Anyone caught for possession, public intoxication etc, those charges just gets withdrawn.
