1:08 that noise is from a "tire zipper failure" so called because it sounds like someone slowly opening a zipper. If you hear it from a truck tire, run. Normal car tire should not be that explosive but I've seen people inflate their passenger car tires to 100psi so you never know.

But on the other hand I've been to that boiling point of frustration and stress, though I left the job before it became physical. 3:50 This kinda makes sense. Wild predators don't (usually) pick unnecessary fights. They also learn to be wary of smaller animals that are unusually aggressive. In comparison, house cats have kind of lost that those feelings and don't realise how dangerous it can be to attack anything.

Domestic cats haven't really been house cats for that long. They still have natural instincts, even if they're a bit out of shape from all the pampering. This cat was probably hoping to go unnoticed and then found itself in a situation where if it ran the bear would think of it as prey and go after it. Better to stand its ground and bluff until the bear backs off. Even small cats can quickly do serious damage to the eyes and nose of bigger predators and give themselves some chance of escape after a surprise attack.
