The problem is it's cheap speed and some of those class of cars also look good, like a new mustang. People barely are able to scrape by on high interest loans and act like they made it with a base-level muscle car. They can't drive well and act like they can handle 400+ whp. It's the ideal type of car for hood rats that are flexing their utmost in generational-poverty-stricken neighborhoods. That's not correct ..They have Challenger Police pursuits..but not from the factory.. The Charger is a factory Pursuit because it's a 4 door..and a police pursuit package is offered by Dodge. The Police Pursuit Charger is a 5.7 not a scat pack..(unless it's been modified) has the beefy stuff oil cooler HD brakes and some were all wheel drive..high output electrical system..etc. They are fast but a 392\6.4 or 6.1/370 or 6.2 /372 Hellcat will smoke them.. The driver is key..Police have Training in high speed pursuit driving..NOt all Dodge Chrysler Challenger Charger owners drive them like they stole the,,(most times that's what you are seeing Stolen Mopars..Challengers are just as capable to do pit maneuvers..They get the Bumper Grill Guard Fits either car.... Unless you have a Police scanner ..not as good as the old days.. most radio traffic is encrypted..but still some are not..We used to race one the Garden State Parkway and NY Thruway where they meet up..even used to race them.. NJ State Police & NYSP..we'd shut down a section and Police & us Raced each other..Dodge & Plymouth 440 & Monaco's Polara Police pursuit..cars + Fords and Chevy Police cars.. I had my 1968 426 Hemi Roadrunner ..steel white wheels and hubcaps ..with M60/15 Formula 1 Super Stock tires out back and G60/15 's on the front 3:00AM in the morning..till sun came up and then everyone scattered..Was fun..😉😁never happen today.. 😇most of the cops were into the cars..so we all had fun..no one ever hurt.🤔

Remember back in the 90’s the caprice was our fastest cars. If you had the half closed wheel-well fender max speed was 110mph if had the full open wheel 105mph. When watching these pursuits which are more common now, you’ll start to noticing officers with 10-20 pursuits behind them, they’ll start turning the sirens off when they talk on the radio. The tunnel vision at 105-110 along with the interior pressure on your ears is deafening. Couldn’t imagine this at 136-145.
