As a paramedic I have responded to several scenes where family members have killed family. One was where a man killed his wife and son. Ironically there was a picture of the man posing with the son at a baseball game. That haunted me for years wondering how the man went from what appeared to be a loving father to murdering his son.

Some people simply love being fathers but hate their kid(s). Specifically, they love the aesthetic of being a parent and how other adults treat them, but they hate that they are expected to do anything for their kid. I've seen parents who think their toddler deliberately got a dirty diaper just to spite them, and they never let it go even after 20 years... I don't gamble and I'm willing to bet most cases of the "families" you saw were like that. The majority of ALL families worldwide do love each other --- and they aren't killing each other!

For anyone wondering, it was over their mother's estate. Jeffrey agreed to let his brother take ownership of his mother's estate (without splitting it with him) on the condition that his mother would be taken care of. When he heard that his mother had been moved out to Missouri (while his brother benefitted from all the money), that more than likely made him snap and he went to confront his brother. Sad situation overall.
@dianne220 Жыл бұрын

When he asked for his mother and then it was confirmed what he obviously already knew and he pulled that gun i knew at that point this was vengeance 😮he was expecting his brother to take care of his mother and in his deranged mind he felt betrayed he felt his brother just got rid of the mother and all responsible of him actually taking care of her and the brother didn't feel that was right and was disgusting and disappointed in his brother and probably felt his brother was living high on the hog and avoiding all his families responsibilities, he must have known somewhat that this would piss his brother off but it just tells me he did not talk to his brother nor did he know him really that well cause he had no idea what he was capable of doing or did think he had the balls to to it ,..it was definitely wrong .unfortunately there is no way to change it now,be careful who you cross because people are capable of some really gruesome acts it seems especially when it comes to families people exspect a high standard when dealing with family and they are right your family should be the last people that should turn on you. Beginning to wonder if there was something in that covid vaccine because in 3 years the world is upside-down and people have no control over there feelings or actions anymore 😮

Here is what actually happened: Jeff Roberts had bern living with his mother in her home in Long Beach and managing her money. Something happened, and Jean Roberts (the mother) contacted her brother to help get control away from Jeff. She left Long Beach and went to Ogden, then moved to Missouri. During the moves, she and her brother started the process of making her other son, Scott, the executor. She also ordered Jeff to vacate her home. Records show that there had been no contact between the brothers for years, but Jeff felt that his uncle and brother had manipulated his mother. He outlined his grievances in a 27-page letter found in his van. When he approached Scott's home, Jeff had not spoken to his brother and did not know where his mother was. He showed up with an arsenal. After murdering his brother, shooting his sister-in-law, and setting fire to the home, Jeff stepped outside and fired 30 rounds at police--many of the shots hitting the house across the street. Police returned 59 rounds, killing the murderer.

For human history violence was only seen by those up close to the action, while paintings were the closest way to capture violent events such as war paintings. It wasn't until the Crimean war 1853 and the Civil War 1861 where photography capture the aftermath. For the first time people could see dead bodies without being in the combat zone. The 20th century saw the next big step, During Russo Japanese war and WW1 the world could actually now see in theaters early combat footages when the newsreels would play before a movie. Vietnam era step it up even more being the first televised war, bringing combat footage to your home. But violence on the streets were still quite rare to capture. Only if a news crew was near by, like Texas tower shooting 1966 was an early example of such violence at home that was recorded. Anti Vietnam and civil rights rioting was captured and audience across America could witness savage burning looting for the first time. Each decade since violence became more easily captured. When tape recording became more affordable and easier to record with tapes, events such a as the Rodney King beating was filmed and la riots 1992. Shows like Cops 1989 also was major step. Since then with digital cameras, and the internet made everything much more available where now you can view thousands of violent acts.

The wife may have been who encouraged her husband to screw his brother and mother over. Not knowing the details I just feel sorry for the dog.

Anyone else notice how the images showed the place after a fire had destroyed it? That house went through a lot that day.

I’m not sure how you could protect yourself from something like this. My bro and I are close so would never expect anything even close to this.

I've been through a lot of $hit in my life. A lot of people who were suppose to love me did horrible things, but not once have I ever thought of picking up a gun and killing anybody. Watching him just casually walk up and kill his brother is so disturbing!! And he obviously intended to kill more people. SMDH

This is just sad. Why? Horrible for the husband and for the wife to lose so much. I can’t even imagine.

I have a bad relationship with some family members myself, but I couldn’t imagine myself in this scenario even in my worst nightmares. The guy was pure evil.

Bet the back story is freaking crazy. Guessing the mom and property play a role. Even worse the mother can see the moment when she lost both of her sons.

Property & money most likely, so unfortunate!

You have to be a really evil person to kill your brother over money. If I don't see a penny from my parents estate, it's not going to make me kill my brothers. It's just money, for Christ's sake.
@8luvbug6 ай бұрын
@@TheLurker1647 it wasn't over money, it was over the brother discarding their mom like trash and then draining her bank account

This guy obviously has had a mental breakdown and has decided to destroy his family and suicide by cop. The way he talks to his brother in the beginning, he didn’t know where his mom was for over a year.
