Brilliant insight. What software do you use to ger a hash? I have all my CompTIA certs and the CEH certification. I need to get into this field? Any recommendations for courses ?

Thanks for sharing part of your recovery process! While you were preparing the broken line I noticed a lot of spare solder around the actual line. Is that part not connected to anything? I'd be concerned things have a shortcut somewhere. Can you please show your verification process after you solder things, but just before you connect them to power again? Small suggestion : Use a black and white measurement grid for background when you take photos of components from the evidence bag. This will make it easier to have a sense of size when looking at those photos. They also sell insulated mats with preprinted measures.

After watching this video, I am wondering if I am wasting my money and time at the school I am going for my master's degree in digital forensics. Did you learned this by try-and-error or did you got a formal class or training on this part?
@forensicguy3 жыл бұрын
My forensic degree and schooling was done through ISFCE bootcamp in a private college. The rest was mostly trial and error on my own. Nothing can beat practical experience. School can only teach you so much before you realize the limitation of not experiencing real life cases

The name of the tool used to solder the SDCard is an "uni pro dual 8bit adapter", if anyone else is interested:)

Hiiiiii Mr Stanko. What is the Difference between Chip Swap and Chip Off Recovery. Is This Do Same Work. Today Nice ❤️ Work. Excellent
@forensicguy3 жыл бұрын
Chip swap is when you move the chip into a working donor device. Chip off recovery is when you read the chip only

It is from a car accident, maybe the camera came loose and flew into something. That looks like a really poor attempt at destroying something if it was intentional.

There is much more to this story that I cannot share unfortunately. The person was stopped before it was completely destroyed

@@forensicguy now I got it. He was stopped. Because I was thinking, even the dumbest person would only retrieve the microsd card and destroy it. There is no need to destroy the camera. But I now understand. He was stopped
