Jason, although I know about extensions, you're one of the first music teachers who explained about the 7th chord. It makes do much sense. Thanks a mill.

Thanks, Jason... your lessons make the concepts so simple in understanding and practice. I was not sure and always confused with the concept and how to use a sus chord. Clear now... thank you.

I just discovered you and i'm quite happy about it! Can you do a video about progressions like the pop ones you used on "add" section with lots of key changes? Or where you explain how a right hand colourful chord can easily be taken as a different one and bass leads us to a new world? I'm searching for bridges like those in all genres :D ! To kinda unify all the different ways of changing colour/key etc. specialling in classic and jazz but yeah... You can never take enough of everything... Once i heard your "add" section i got so exited!

Sure. Will plan. You can also go through the recommended videos in the description. Some of those might help!

Hello jason Just before 5:19 , you played a melody incredibly similar to a soundtrack in an animation movie (called How you train your dragon). Check out the soundtracks from that movie, its harmonically incredible work, and a breakdown of one of the soundtracks could be a potential video as well.
@nathanielschool Жыл бұрын
That's an awesome suggestion Zubin! Will definitely give this soundtrack a listen!

I have a question: you explain Cadd2 and Csus2, what about if I play C on left hand and on right hand I play DEG what will be the name of that chord?
@nathanielschool Жыл бұрын
C add2 will be C major triad (CEG) + D C sus2 will be CDG C in LH and DEG in RH would be an Add 9 or Add 2 I guess
@ariasjosue Жыл бұрын
@@nathanielschool “I guess?” Lol This a question I been asking and no one has a correct answer. It can’t be Cadd9 cuase I have 3 and 5 as a higher pitch and it can’t be Cadd2 cuase i have no C on my right.
