Joey Pecoraro samples this in his track "Fly on the Wall". Gret track. He seems to speed it up a little so that I couldn't tell it was Orson Welles until I heard it here.

Arcane Wisdom TV pitch shifted it, if you speed it up to get the same voice pitch its to fast... But yes, love the song

CBSRMT Is great. Slave w/ Fred Gwynn is crazy, but good. Actually he's in both stories. Also kill now pay later.

NTSAllstar Yes, I even loved the way he read the script to advertise sherry towards the end of his career, after when he took up ballooning.

To me this was years ahead of its time!! Listening to Wells is such a privilege and for any inspiring actor/actress wud learn so much on how to deliver lines etc!! A true giant of both stage and screen!!!

I surprised my parents (born in the 1920's) when I was a kid and told them that I was listening to Suspense or The Shadow radio dramas. This was in the 70's and TV was THE thing, but I loved these old shows because they fired my imagination and my folks were delightfully dumbfounded.

They're going to remake this once again in film version with Tom Berenger. (I've lost count how many times this story has been re-imagined from the original Richard Connell story, mostly to good effect).
