I sort of new it was a ..............!! Still very good episode and it's great that these stories are consistently of high quality!! So to "Suspense!!!!" and to David many many warm thank you's for taking ur own time to upload these historic stories which- (and I'm not overstating this?)-really are parts of American history of Radio!!! Being from England does anyone think that comment is over stated??

Suspense was on the radio for 20 years and was one of the last shows to go off network radio in 1962!! It had the best writers and actors and TV's Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitcock Presents stole a lot of Suspense's stories especially the one show called "Banqoa's Chair".

Here's a history of what happened to Roma Wines. The vineyards we are sold to an Emirates petroleum company in the 1970s, so I'm guessing the vineyards were destroyed and the land was drilled for oil and gas. If it's still not being used for that purpose I suspect, like so much land in Southern California, it was sold off in lots for real estate development.

@@PatrickFDolan, I have no doubt, but the problems in California are a lack of *affordable* housing and vast urban/suburban sprawl. In Southern California homes that used to be accessible to the middle class can’t be touched for less than a million dollars today - at least. It’s even worse in the Bay area. The land his been eaten up by real estate developers since the end of the Second World War, and so much arable land has been destroyed with no goal and plan other than to make as much money as possible without regard to sustainability, the environment, or the costs to subsequent generations. The problems of drought, water shortages and wild fires are also related to the way the most highly populated areas of the state have been developed.

Agreed. Lucille Fletcher, though, is amazing. One question however; why did this woman live in the penthouse and why didn't this guy know (or pretend not to know) where it was?
