I've taken care of an old invalid and can attest it's pretty shitty. On the one hand, you can't blame them for being awful, their quality of life sucks and they can't do anything they used to. But in the other hand it's difficult to endure their constant negativity and demands. Nothing is ever good enough, they're grouchy, they're paaaive-aggressive and whiny. Wasn't all bad, used to play cards and hear cool stories from their youth and such.
