Glad to hear you are doing better, I used Moog and it was 100% better than the worn stockers, I hope to swap to those for the next refresh. I will be watching to see how you like them over time before I pull the trigger.

I just set up a similar system from ADTR onto a 2011 CVPI over the weekend ... very nice indeed! Oh and we had the same issue with the provided hardware - we reused the factory hardware.

I just got the Victor Jr intake setup I need to get like the mmr4150 adapter but I'm not exactly sure which one it is I need for the Victor Jr to adapt to the upper plenum from ADT are that I bought that's ported
@silicon212
@silicon212 Жыл бұрын
@@FordBossMe If you are referring to the Accufab plenum, I do believe that's designed to be used with the stock intake, so in theory it should work fine with the MMR adapter. Edit I see the ported plenum, that should also work well with the MMR plate.

Hello Rich, happy you are feeling better but don't push yourself. The new rear suspension pieces would definitely level out & help eliminate the roll into the turns. God Bless Rich, & as always my best to you and your family, TMP from N.J. 😊😊😊😊.

I assume you are too young. But gone are the days when these classic cars (including the Lincoln Towncar) were in demand. I'm young, but I still don't like how the traditional luxury car has been made a thing of the past. Thanks for reviving this one!

I'm glad that you are on the road (pun intended) to a full recovery. Just try not to push to hard. The rear suspension and handling upgrade looks BOSS! (I can't help myself, man....lol) Have you installed a beefier rear sway bar?....I thought maybe I missed that posts. I bet it both rides AND handles better. Great video as always.👍

Question: isn’t the suspension supposed to be preloaded before you torque all the nuts? It looked like you guys did it up on a lift with the suspension hanging down.

I thought you were gonna put that stuff on the town car.. thx for the tips on the watts link.. i bought the ez stuts from strut masters for the front. I thought they were oem for the TC but the springs are stiffer so they eliminate front end roll. Of course you feel more of the road imperfections.. but corners well and matches the stiffness of the rear

Damn, you do good work, bud. I will admit laughing when you were showing us around under the vehicle and could see all the rust from Chicago winters. I heard Ray screaming and trembling as he saw that. LOL But that looks like one good looking kit and I like how you checked out those bolts and made decisions to use ones which worked for you.

If you think that is rust you need to reevaluate what rust is that's just little surface powder

@@FordBossMe "down south" since born BUT I once had a couple of Mercury Grand Marquis Wagons(1973 & 1976?, 400 V8) in 1990's(we had 6 children at home). Saw a 400 in a welder's truck for sale with a manual trans! Almost bought it BUT the entire frame, rear end pumpkin, any iron was MAJOR rust-pitted like the surface of the moon. No sale.

Can you ask me tomorrow when I'm at work in front of a computer I can tell you but I'll put control on probably an hour and a half cuz the strut has to drop down out of it I believe you're probably looking somewhere around 4 hours total maybe close to 5 with an alignment That's just labor not parts

@fordbossme Couldn't you use a tap to extend the threads on those long bolts? Also maybe cut them short if they are too long. #quadstatecameras
@FordBossMe
@FordBossMe Жыл бұрын
Sure you could but now you're putting a bunch of time into something that you shouldn't have to put a bunch of time into and on top of that remember I also said the bolts that don't go all the way through the frame that stop inside the frame are too long so they'll hit the other side of the frame with the ones that don't have a through hole

Check your rotors?
@FordBossMe
@FordBossMe Жыл бұрын
There's no reason to check the rotors if you're talking about the direction of the way the slots are facing that's not how you figure out which way is left and which way is right so you got to become more educated I have a video on that it comes down to the center cooling fins on which way they actually go

Your brake rotors are on backwards, slots are supposed to be facing the other direction.
@FordBossMe
@FordBossMe Жыл бұрын
No they're not on backwards you need to educate yourself on brake rotors Drilled and slotted brake rotors have a set of cooling fins on the inside between the two discs if those fins are directional they will have a curve to them meaning that they only pull air in one efficient direction if they are straight from the center core out they can actually be installed anywhere you want and these are straight so you're wrong take the L they're not on backwards now you've been educated

Ok. Something is up. This is the second time in one day I’ve heard someone pronounce the word GAWDY as “gow-dee”. Is there another word that I’m unaware of? I always thought that gawdy was pronounced as “gaw-dee” and not “gow-dee”. I googled it and they pronounced it as I’ve always heard it. I’m not trying to pick at your pronunciation… I’m legitimately curious because you’re the second person I’ve heard say it that way in a single day. Is it maybe due to different accents? Maybe it’s a different word you’re using altogether? I really don’t know. Just curious. 🙏

I am pretty anal about using OEM or OEM type hardware 🔩 over aftermarket hardware, especially nuts & bolts ,I got tons of new Genuine parts nuts & bolts from GM & GM Daewoo, I'll even order them from GM if available, if not I actually import them myself from GM Korea & get OEM hardware that's made in USA, Korea, Germany & Australia as GM Korea stocks most of the hardware, even obsolete GM hardware that's not available from GM in the states
