Cool videos man keep the content coming. Do you feel like it’s generally safe when you’re traveling in more popular areas? Or rather very safe and you’re not worried at all.

In popular areas where there are lots of tourists it feels very safe. The only time it is dangerous is at night time in my experience.

also another thing is you bowed your head to him...i know you wanted to acknolwedge himmm, dont do that to people youre afraid of... instead move your head UP like "whats up" with a nod up.. never bow. my friend you would get wrecked in jail. whats the point of being tall if youre a weakling.

Dude, I think you're far too paranoid. You did the right to acknowledge that guy but then you allowed yourself to be psychologically haunted by "the encounter" 😅. He could simply have been curious about you. Who knows? I really wished you had made an effort to interact with the people inside the vet's office. It wouldn't have made an interesting video. It just seems that most of your videos have negative descriptions like "getting scammed or suspicious guy" in the titles but all I could see are a lot of nice people interacting with you. Anyway, this is my two bits of hopefully constructive criticism.

Thanks Lou! I've seen you comment before so thanks for your input. I definitely was paranoid after the encounter and I think for good reason, I don't want to push my limits in a place I'm not familiar with. As for the negative titles, I've made 10 vlogs in Colombia so far and only 2 have this type. I try to be as honest with my traveling as I can be and I'm not going to lie about how I feel in a situation especially if it's a negative interaction. As a traveler, not everyday is a good one so I try to share as realistic of an experience as I can. No Sugar coating! Hope that explains it a bit. More positive titles coming don't worry :)

@@goodlifepursuer I understand your point brother. I hadn't realized you had put out so many vids. I've only had the pleasure of watching three of your videos so far, thus my comment. As you can see, it's all about perception. If you allow me, I'd like to give you some personal tips about what to do and how to act if you ever find yourself in an unwelcomed security situation. You seem intent of putting yourself in high risk situations. I think you do it either for more KZbin viewership or you may just be an adrenaline junkie. Only you know why. Having said that, I think you're a good guy but perhaps a little careless with your safety. I'm not a stranger to the phycological workings of the thug mentality. I grew in Los Angeles and in my late teenage years and early 20s I ran around with some rough characters. Got into trouble myself. Never hurt or stole from anyone but broke the law nonetheless and paid the price. Been on the straight and narrow path since then. Owned several small businesses in Houston, Tx and got robbed twice. Worked in Venezuela many years ago and while leaving a fine restaurant, a big guy came up from behind me while I was getting into my vehicle and hit me over the head with a bottle. Then had a gold chain which was under my shirt and T-shirt, violently yanked from my neck. They must have been studying me for a while. It was my favorite place to eat. Like an idiot, I ran after the thief only to get hit from behind with a lead pipe by another accomplice. Of course! I had dropped my guard bc back then, Venezuela was considered relatively safe. Anyways, this is my suggestion to you as how to act if confronted by a possible security threat in the future. Sometimes you can't avoid all threats but there are things you can do to mitigate the danger. Take what happened in your video with that guy. Look at him straight on. Let him know you're aware of his presence. Not in a threatening manner or with a submissive gesture either. No smiling. Give him a stoic nod. It's a balancing act. By doing that, you're telling him..."I know you're there and I see you". Continue about your path. Casually swivel your head back and forth. If he's a real threat, he's watching you and he'll realize you're not an easy mark. He'll most likely move on to easier prey. However, if you constantly look behind you, and he see's you entering and coming out of a building to check if he's still there, he'll know you're running scared. A scared victim is an easy victim. If he decides to rob you, you won't see him coming. I hope you take this for whatever it's worth and I look forward to watching more of you're content. Cheers!

@@LouieManza All great advice, much appreciated! Usually just being big, bald, and having a beard does most of the work for me but you never know. My favorite thing about traveling is exploring places that you don't normally see which has manifested itself into me getting lost in the big cities here in Colombia. Sometimes that ends up being more dangerous than not but other times you meet amazing people and have great experiences but that what makes it exciting eh?

Now I understand your way of traveling, you like to explore, but since you have the image of a good person, it is somewhat dangerous because you are giving papaya......however you can always be supported by other people like in Cartagena and now in Bogota. After all, there are more good people than bad guys; As the trip passes you will realize that it is not so dangerous to travel through Latin America.

7:30 youre displaying very submissive facial features, (upper lip displaying top teeth) ...i reccomend when you are waking like that to close your mouth so your upper teeth dont show, remeber to keep lips closed. your asking to get attacked sooner or later displaying submissive facial gestures luckily he was alone, but if he was with his group of two or three drunk freinds they would pounce.

That’s an interesting breakdown! I always treat people with kindness in almost all situations first, even in this one. More often than not it’s easier and safer to remove yourself from a situation before it escalates. Never mistake kindness for weakness my friend.
