Tonight’s presentation will highlight sustainability initiatives on private lands in Massachusetts. Tonight’s presentation will be given by Arthur Haskins. Vice President, of Real Estate & Community Development at WD Cowls, Inc. Land Company.
Arthur Haskins has experience completing numerous mixed-use, commercial, and residential developments in New England. At W. D. Cowls, the largest private landowner in Massachusetts, Haskins is involved in all aspects of real estate development and planning. Haskins actively serves on the Board of Directors at the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce, and his expertise includes economic development, new construction management, affordable housing, brokerage, zoning, permitting, property management, solar development, and land conservation.
Recently, Arthur's work has been focused on completing Amherst's Mill District, where Haskins managed the residential and commercial lease-up of the mixed-use, mixed-income North Square development, developed in partnership with Beacon Communities LLC. Working for Massachusetts' largest private landowner, Arthur's development team identifies opportunities for optimal land use such as conservation, community development, partnerships with solar energy initiatives, public and private partnerships, and maintaining Cowls' tradition of sustainable forestry practices.
