detonator orgun is a late 90's anime ova that is a simi-retelling of tekkaman.. its about a guy who see's a fight between 2 robotic armor suits and see's one defeated. when he goes to where it fell he finds it has no living pilot.. he also finds out that the robotic armor suits who at first seem to be alien are actually human made. they are heavy duty powered space suits that a human colony world had to wear to survive the harsh world they had crashed on they were so dependant on the armored suits the people's bodies atrophied and are not much more than an organic nervous system for the robotic suits
