Everyone who's seen the video before was chuckling at how you reacted to Geoff's low notes early in the song - knowing that subharmonic was coming at the very end! You can thank Layne Stein (who arranged and directed the video and played Zero) for that one. Geoff originally was going to come back up slightly on the last note, but Layne asked him for a "big finish", and so Geoff went with the subharmonic.

@@tlxatom7004, nope, he hits an Ab0 on "Enemy", His lowest sustained note (that B0) was in the Halo theme, however. Nevertheless, going from a B4 to E1 is definitely insane! That's a single note from a high tenor C5 to an octave lower than an average bass in a single section of a song.

This is one of four that they did from Nightmare before Christmas. It is the first time that he used subharmonics to hit that last note. It certainly shook up a lot of people. He has a phenomenal range: five octaves. I admire the low notes and they are spectacular, but I love when he sings in his higher ranges. His Headless Horseman on his personal channel really shows the range because his back up singers, which are made up of himself are singing in the higher octaves. You might really enjoy Kidnap the Sandy Claws which has Lock, Shock and Barrel in the bathtub. It features Rachel Potter, one of collaborators. This is Halloween is pretty phenomenal as well. Santa was played by Geoff‘s brother-in-law and the voiceover was done by Eli the bald tenor. This had J None and Earl who was their high tenor for 23 years. Really enjoyed your reaction. We couldn’t really hear Jeff’s voice very much - it was really subdued. (Just a little feedback because I know you’re trying to figure out the best mic situation.)

You should try rains of castemere from Geoff's solo channel. High and dry shows a lot of range too. My personel favourites are ain't no sunshine and Shenandoah. Xx

His solo stuff showcases his range in a different way to me because most of the high range stuff are the Geofettes...still crazy vocal acrobatics in some, but not like this one...he actually started off performing at, I believe, Universal as a tenor, actually. In Voiceplay's Halo cover, he hits a B-0 subharmonic that shakes your core. If you haven't already, Friends on the Other Side, Halo, The Dragonborn Comes, and Dream On are all PHENOMENAL covers by Voiceplay that would be so fun to see y'all react to. I recently found y'all's page and have seen a few but I can't remember which ones y'all have done so sorry if you've done any of those already. 😅 loving watching y'all though!!!

Geoff Castellucci's cover of Elvis Presley's Way Down is amazing. And check out the "Geoffs" name tags. Those are several of the ways his first name has been misspelled or mispronounced. He also uses that idea in his newest solo video Ghost Riders in the Sky for his backup singers. Daryl is the one in the long duster; Geoff say he just looks like a Daryl. Kathy C is his wife, and she's Sandy Claws' sister, I think.

You guys should definitely check out Geoff's solo cover of "High and Dry." It's raw and beautiful and he sings most of that one in his high range. It's one of my favorites from him. There are no clones and not a ton of production, so it's a more simple video but definitely one you don't wanna miss! This was the first VoicePlay video I ever saw and I've been hooked every since! This reaction was so fun to watch!

As many others have said, check out Geoff's solo work especially Ain't no Sunshine and Over the Misty Mountain Cold. Three of my very favorite Voiceplay performances (but less popular) are an old 60s Do-Wop song called Sh-Boom, Chris Stapleton's Tennessee Whiskey and Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror. They are known as The Kings of Halloween and The Theater Kids of acapella. Everybody looks forward to their Halloween videos cause their always so spectacular. I fell into their rabbit hole in April and never looked back.

Santa is Geoff's brother-in-law although Eli did the voice. Looking for a specific voicing I guess. It was so much fun watching you two. Geoff has a voice (lowest growl A0 Ab0, subharmonic that he is a master of- B0 If you hunt down the Halo theme you will find 2 of the B0s, high note A5 although I bet he could break that if he tried.
