If you arrive in Pattaya in the late evening, look out the bus window to verify that there is local transportation waiting at the first 2 stops. If the area (a small parking lot) looks empty it is safer to continue to the final stop at Jomtien.

@JohnnyRingo555 Hi. Yes, that option is available at Suvarnabhumi from the same ticket counter. They offer you the Bell Travel service, whereby you get a drop to your hotel. The Bell Travel bus first goes to the North Pattaya Bus Terminal. From there, small vans are used to bring everyone to their hotels. Online booking is not necessary. Bell Travel tickets can be bought at the counter itself. I have used that service, and then stopped using it because a lot of time gets wasted at Pattaya, first at the bus station, and then they drop passengers one after the other while taking rounds in the city.

@memeagain4106 Hi. From Suvarnabhumi airport, there is always a wait. You don't get the next scheduled bus, but only the next available bus. I have waited there between 30 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes, after buying my ticket. Fortunately, there are chairs opposite the ticket counter where you can sit and wait. Or you can go to Level B to change money or to eat something. 15 minutes before departure time, the counter people call you and lead you to the bus.

For the return trip from Pattaya to Bangkok, you have to go to Jomtien Suvarnabhumi Bus Station to board the bus. You can take a Bolt cab, which will cost under 100 Baht from your hotel to the Jomtien Bus Station.

@sauravbhattacharjee8394 There is no local bus there. Baht buses on a shared basis are cheap, but those have a fixed route and using that mode is inconvenient unless you know how to do it. Private Baht buses are too expensive. In Pattaya, Bolt cab is the cheapest. Even a motorbike taxi will cost more than Bolt.

Other than these two, I have stayed in Hotel Zing and that one is not good. @smartpanda1992 That area is called South Pattaya. In the past, I have stayed in a few hotels in South Pattaya, but none of those turned out to be good. All I can suggest is, to search for hotels in South Pattaya on Agoda, MakeMyTrip, or Goibibo. Then read guest reviews on those booking sites to know more about the hotels. While reading guest reviews, remember to sort the reviews by "Recent Reviews". You will find a hotel you are comfortable with.

That one is called Bell Travel, and that service includes a drop to your hotel in Pattaya. When you reach the bus counter at BKK, see if they have a Bell Travel bus available. If not, take the regular bus, and once you alight from the bus in Pattaya, take a taxi to your hotel.

@princessrae8287 Sanctuary of Truth and Big Buddha are in opposite directions, so you can't get a hotel close to both. And a trip to Nong Nooch can be booked along with hotel transfers. North Pattaya (Second Road), somewhere close to Terminal 21 Mall, is better for staying with kids. When going for sightseeing, book a tour that includes hotel transfers. You may try the Klook app. They have many sightseeing tours in Thailand.

@kukuhprakusumasari5847 The shops which rent motorbikes will give you a bike after keeping your passport as security or a cash deposit. They will not ask you about your driving license. However, the Thai traffic police will stop you on the road and will demand to see your international driving license. If you don't have it, they make you pay a penalty of 1000 Baht. From what I leaned from another viewer, you have to go to a police station to pay the fine. Or they will keep your bike. Apparently, an international driving license is required for renting a motorbike in Thailand. Another problem with the bikes you rent in Thailand is, that these bikes are not insured. Not even for the third-party liability. If you damage the bike or hurt another person, you are 100% responsible, and without any limit. I guess, it is better not to think about renting a motorbike in Thailand.

@user-wq3yn7xt8x Yes, it is allowed. They keep large bags in the baggage hold before the bus starts its journey. Sometimes, if they find the bag too big or too heavy, they demand a fee of 20 Baht per bag which has to be paid at the time when you are handing over your bag to the staff for keeping in the baggage hold.
