I was obsessed with her as kid in the 70s, long before I could even really understand what she and her music were even about. Suzi Q (with her tough-guy band, leather jumpsuits and hard rock) just seemed so wild and dangerous. There was no-one else like her! I still love her early songs.

She only had 1 USA Hit - 'Stumblin' In', (with Chris Norman) - No.4 in 1979. However, here in the UK and in Germany, much of the rest of Europe, and Australia etc. she had many Hits. It is a pity that her native USA ignored her best Singles. I still find that to be baffling...

Sadly, Joan Jett is just a cover artist, the few hits she got are only covers of other songs, very few are originally written by her. But she is a very iconic woman in rock and punk.
@alanstrom22212 жыл бұрын
That is mainly the medias fault, that people from the younger generations don't know who she is. I think you mean Blondie not blonde. Don't be afraid to spell words correctly and even use Capital letters for pronouns. If you called Suzi an Angel to her face, she would scoff and laugh at you, and the concept. There was a question on a well known quiz show recently, where the answer was SUZI QUATRO and the contestant said JOAN JETT. " Who is the diminutive leather clad female rocker................? Joan Jett and The Runaways' song " Cherry Bomb " and the video for it, was dripping with sensuality. Those girls were very young when they released that song. Blondie ( Deborah Harry ) born Angela Trimble; July 1, 1945) was 30 in 1975, obviously. Debbie will be 77 in July. Ouch!!! Anyway SUZI knows who she is, and the people that matter know who she is. Suzi is not only a Rock Star, she is a published author and a Radio Broadcaster. Also, a very astute and perceptive mind and body reader. You don't wanna mess with Suzi Q. She's a very smart person.

Man, she was super hot back then! Still amazed she never had bigger mainstream success in the US. But this is definitely British early 70s glam. It's like a sizzling, sexy kitten like Quatro was thrown right along with Marc Bolan's T Rex. She was definitely ahead of her time. Predating The Runaways by a couple years. If she ever ever comes back and does a quickie US tour, I MUST SEE HER!
