I discovered Suzi in 2023 quite by accident in one of my searches. After 40+ years of looking for 'new' music I am floored by what the USA wouldn't 'allow' on the airwaves! In 1979, I went to a Cheap Trick concert and loved it because they were great but also because the radio was my only leader. Only regret I have is that I missed so many years of enjoyment. Thankfully she has kept on going and left us so much to enjoy! Thank you Suzi!

There are lots of girls who can sing but not so many that can play bass guitar like that. The other thing was - I've read that she was - _Naked Under Leather_ - in that she wore nothing under that Leather Jump Suit - which had something to do with the way it fit her. Susan Kay Quatro professionally known as Suzi Quatro born June 3 1950 in Detroit, Michigan is an American singer and actress known for her role as Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days in the late 1970's. She formed the Pleasure Seekers in Detroit with her Sisters in 1964. She was brought to the attention of British Producer Micki Most who produced for the Herman Hermits and other major British Bands in the 1960's. How common was it to have western acts perform behind the iron curtain. I remember as a kid that a hockey player had to come up with an elaborate plan to defect from your country (P. Statsny). Was it as tightly control as other parts of the Warsaw pact countries? It's great that there is a video of a concert that you went to in 1979 in Czechoslovakia, very rare indeed.

Isn't it interesting how simple it all is. Just four hard working people doing their thing on stage. And the European audience taking is all so seriously What you end up with for posterity here is an ambient sound track that doesn’t do the performance justice. But to the trained eye, its amazing how extraordinary it all is. Three very dedicated and serious musicians and Suzi who has enough energy on stage for the four of them. Playing, dancing and singing into that shitty PA all at once. I wonder how many people realise how special she is?

А на первых местах чопорная публика (без эмоций). А самый лучший зритель на галёрке. Первая поющая девушка-рокерша с бас-гитарой (на 31 мин. её соло на гитаре). Молодая, красивая, энергичная, заводная... Молодец. Изменился сразу голос в песне "Stumblin`in" ("A love is a life"("Ради любви"), стал гораздо интереснее. Концерт того времени. Funny, growing up I certainly knew the name Suzy Quattro, mostly from her appearances on Happy Days. But I practically never heard her songs on the radio. I recently out of curiosity checked her out on Spotify and I didn’t recognize or remember any of her songs except Stumbling In, and I didn’t realize that mediocre song was her. And I am a huge music junkie. I’ve followed everyone right down to indie bands of So Cal. I could name quite a few “superstars” with well known names but I can’t for the life of me ever hearing their songs on any radio station growing up when all I ever did was listen to the radio. Like Bobby Sherman. What radio play did he ever get? Who can name even one Bobby Sherman song? Yet he was quite famous. I’d say I haven’t ever Knowingly heard a Suzi Quattro song on the radio, at least not in the last 40 years.
