Suzuha's backstory is an unforgivable mess

I'm glad to see somebody else speaking out about this crime against Suzuha and you hit most of the main points of why it's awful, but you could have gone way deeper. There's this whole element to the story where Suzuha's story and character are undermined by the author. Like how Kayano paralyzes her will to victory just by mentioning that SERN helped some people. Suzuha's not stupid, she lives in her world. She knows there are winners and losers in the SERN regime. Suzuha is committed enough to her cause to risk her metaphysical existence for it. There's no way some weirdo in a mask can send her spiraling into doubt just by mentioning that. Another example is when her assassination mission goes wrong and she spirals into an "I failed" scenario. The strength and pathos of that in the anime was seeing Suzuha, a paragon of inner strength and defiant hope, finally crack. In this manga, Suzuha's just weak. The intensity of not getting it here is astounding.

oof good points. the sern helping people os another i see what they were GOING for but they can't write lol and yea the i failed is just trying to piggyback on the emotional beats of the original without understanding the full context which is one of the reasons i dont like sg0

Even though it's a bit of a clunky story. I've read this manga. Honestly, I felt so much empathy for Amane Suzuha, and literally cried when I watched her crash in the time machine in 1975 in the world line 0.337187, after this sh-t she was thrown down from the 8th floor, leaving her crippled. And her ending was sad. This causes a strong emotional reaction when you understand how tragic her fate is. The overall picture is somewhat smoothed out by the fact that she managed to escape in the world line 0.409431. This girl is too good for this world. You deserve a better life Suzuha-sama

She is the Terminator and jon connos daughter all in one , she has infinite backstory possibilities... Mostly from timelines that will have collapsed during the timeline of the tshow, her future was in their past and their future is her past. The grandfather paradox comes into play and her failing her mission could result in her father and mother not ever convincing her...seemed to me she fulfilled her true destiny by not completing the mission, then they dont have the ibm and cant build the machine... the og tidor may have done this for this timeline today, if he sucseeded we will never see him again. Like Okebe from zero, this character only existed to prevent this character from existing.

Hmm, epigraph trilogy would be a good review, considering that the story written and drawn in the manga is far better than the crap S:G 0 anime. I was gutted when the got rid of the car park scene where old mate starts quoting the KJV bible and anyways, started blastin; it was critical to the gravitas of the plot

Don’t know if you’ve addressed this before, but since this channel has a lot of steins;gate stuff, wouldn’t it be better to more prominently put that aspect in the video titles? I get that the more general “clickbaity” titles might get more clicks from a general audience, but unless you plan to branch out a lot into a variety of franchises it seems kind of… weird idk (you can ignore this if you want. Great videos btw)
