Interesting vid, thanks. Not many people fit tracks to mini trucks in Japan but you see the odd one on a ski hill.

what would a whole set up like this cost ? Diesel ?
@captaincounty49637 жыл бұрын
I use this system on a 2001 Carry. Do you think the a turbo model would help me keep it in 3rd gear when I'm in deeper snow?..
@4sonsoffroad7 жыл бұрын
captain county what gearing do you have on the tracks?
@captaincounty49637 жыл бұрын
I believe we put in the 14 tooth one to gear it down. I can go great in 3rd gear on hard pack, but find it cant maintain the revs in deeper snow.
@4sonsoffroad7 жыл бұрын
captain county While the Turbo would definitely give you more pull in 3rd it too falls flat on its face if you let the revs drop below 4000 rpm due to the Turbo not spinning hard enough at low revs. I’m not sure if it’s the case in your situation but don’t be scared to go into the deep carrying higher revs. These things are perfectly happy to rev. I only mention it because a lot of the complaints we get about power are because guys don’t feel comfortable maintaining high rpms. A suzuki carry’s 48 hp is rated at 6500 rpm

How fast does it go with tires? Could you keep up with highway traffic? Cool truck
@4sonsoffroad5 жыл бұрын
Not really. About 100kph foot to the floor. We have done dozens of other videos on these trucks make sure you check out our channel.

Nice truck! I would imagine turning with those tracks would be kinda hard though haha
@4sonsoffroad6 жыл бұрын
Not really at all. The tracks have a curved bottom profile in the front so they actually aren't much harder to steer then a bigger off-road wheel
@guyod15 жыл бұрын
Turning in high heavy snow or deep mud where you sink in has to be a challenge
@4sonsoffroad5 жыл бұрын
@@guyod1 not nearly as bad as you would think. Mud would be tougher for sure, snow is nothing. The angle of attack profile on the bottom of the front track is what makes the difference.
@AD-yy3it2 жыл бұрын
With wheels turning in snow can be hard, the car just wants to run straight, I'd definitely prefer tracks 😅

Just generally I know you can't be exact thanks for all the information you can give me get er done.

Do you knew where I could buy a set of gender flares?
@4sonsoffroad7 жыл бұрын
lukeyellow 46 I have seen custom ones in Japan for the DA63T but no selling outlet that I can find. Most guys just take universal flares you can buy in a roll and custom cut with ok results.

Hi I was wondering where do you get all your parts from. I have a 1994 Suzuki carry and I has a broken clutch from the previous owner. I was just wondering where I could fine one
@4sonsoffroad6 жыл бұрын
Hi Garret, we get a lot of our parts direct but this isn’t always effective if you are making small orders. You can try www.minitruck.ca as they seem to carry most common items. Thanks for watching
