Suzuki DR-Z400 Subframe Removal and Replacement | I Crashed My Bike

I had an accident on my DRZ400 that left the tail twisted and bent. A replacement subframe was the simple fix to the issue. This video documents the process of removing the subframe, and provides some commentary about tires, subframes, and other topics. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for making this video. Really informative and helpful. Sux that you went down so hard. The rear rack I put on my DRZ is wider than the subframe. I have crashed off-road a couple times on some difficult single track, so far no bend.

Do you have to take off the end of your exhaust?

The muffler mounts to the sub frame so in order to swap the sub frame, you have to remove the muffler.

@@FishStick_ADV all it looks like is mirrors the sub frame, blinkers on right side, handle bar or brake lever oh and a scratch on the exhaust, no plastics were scuffed and looks like the true frame and engine never made contact with the ground
