I'm a Portuguese guy who bought this motorcycle 2 years ago, and i have been modifying it the way i like.
Some of the work was already done but i did somethings on it too.

Nice bike buddy ... well done! Me and the boy doing a similar one (1979 GS550E) nearly there! Your clocks ... do you know the ratios for them? Is it: Tachometer 1:4, Speedo 2:1 (60mph:2240rpm). I can't find the info anywhere!

These engines sound very rumbly at idle, guess it is the roller bearing crank? Does yours suffer from clutch drag when it gets very hot? Looks lovely BTW, mine is completely standard.

Hello! The fuel tank its the original from the bike. I'm currently building a gs550e 1981 - I cannot spurce a short front mudguard like yours . Is yours off a Suzuki or just the same width and modified ? I also need to fit a rear mudguard - was yours one of the standard ones off ebay and if so- how did you mount it ?

Hello the front and rear mudguards are the originals, they were just cut.
